Why in the hell does everyone believe that Ron Paul has 1,144 delegates? He doesn't, plain and simple. 600 at most, and that is extremely wishful thinking that we have a ton of stealth delegates.
I hope the delegates do nominate him, I hope Stossel is right, I hope Ron has to speak, fuck cause a riot if you have to! But at the end of the day Romney will still have 1,144+ delegates bound to vote for him on the first ballot.
But to entertain the idea of Ron Paul being the next President of the United States is one that's time sadly came many months ago.

They mean nominated as in being placed on the ballot and given a 15 minute speech from having the support of 5 states, not actually winning the nomination.
No one thinks he has 1144 delegates right now. But if he is allowed to speak, maybe, just maybe he could influence enough to vote for him or abstain from voting so that Romney does not get the 1144 delegates on the first round to get the nomination. Then on a second round of voting anything is possible.
However unless he gets nominated from the floor he will not even have a chance to give his speech, much less possibly change delegates' minds to vote for him.
The likelihood of some 500-600 delegates having a change of heart at the last possible minute is something of a fairy tale novel, and unfortunately the magic died for most people in this campaign a long time ago.

other candidates have gone in with less delegates and come out the nominee... people like abe lincoln i believe.
if you're going to essentially insult the entire Ron Paul community, you should really, at the very least, understand what the word 'nominate' means. And then, after reading up on it, just stfu instead.
Ron Paul will not be the 45th President of the United States.
Another week and this will be put to bed and we can put on our big boy pants and move on...thankfully.But the video insinuates Paul will not just be nominated, but he will be the nominee...
There's a big fucking difference there! Everyone is going batshit crazy because he'll be nominated. Great. And Romney still obliterates him on the 1st ballot.
Guys, we lost this round. The fight isn't over but we have to be honest with ourselves. Ron Paul will not be the 45th President of the United States.

The outcome might not be good, BUT THE OBJECTIVES REMAIN THE SAME. 10 Days to go, time to GET FCKING FOCUSED, KEEP YOUR NEGATIVITY TO YOURSELF, you can bitch and moan after TAMPA.
