You don't want to watch it. Joe is some guy Fox News has been talking to for the past few days and McCain brought him up to make a point about raising taxes on a small business owner that makes $250,000 a year.
It wasn't a debate, it was rehash of their campaign commercials.

Joe the plumber is just a hardworking american who is being taxed like the rest of us, we're all royally screwed as well as joe the plumber. Unless we are the nurses, firefighters, or teachers that actually are preparing for this

Who in the world would not realize McCain is also for socialism with
him voting for the bailout with all its earmarks AND now wanting to
tax the money your employer pays for your health care which just
about everyone has said is a bad thing!

If one side wins, he gets tax cuts if he does this. Those tax cuts won't help his business survive when health insurance meets inflation.
If the other side wins, he gets tax cuts if he does that. His business will be healthy and he'll be able to afford health insurance for his family, but he won't be able to give his employees enough of a raise that they can get some too.
Either way, Joe jumps through a hoop and gets some cheese. His employees then get screwed. He may or may not be screwed as well.
I kept looking around the stage for someone competent. I didn't find anyone.

My problem with Joe the Plumber is that he's allowing himself to be used as a pawn in this game. That in itself isn't so surprising - the vast majority of Americans would do the same - but think of all that lost potential. What if Joe the Plumber (and job creator) said live on CNN "forget these two clowns using my pain for their political benefit, and let's vote for somebody truly different!"

That's not what he said. He said his business would have gross revenues of more than $250,000.00.
That's 250 jobs that bill at $1000.00 each. Not all that much, even if the company only employees Joe.

TONES is a PALEOCONSERVATIVE. I like SOME libertarian ideas...but I am truely a paleoconservative. I do want to mention...I was WRONG about Jefferson agreeing with Hamilton on economics...I went back and read that section of the book again..so..I will admit I was wrong. BUT! I still maintain..we must have a moral society for true free markets to work...and we don't have that ..there has to be some protectionism. I agree free market is the best way on paper...but ya still have to factor in morals..or the wealthy at the top STILL get all the dough. tones

Here's a good argument not to vote McCain/Palin--one of the best I have read on this forum.
A truly good reason to vote for either that ticket or Obama/Biden I have yet to see.
