Joe Rogan: You're a Socialist!
Dude: I'm not a Socialist.
Joe Rogan: You're absolutely a Socialist!

Why are so many Socialists in self denial?

Know the Difference Between Marx and Madison? Poll Says Many Do Not

Joe Wolverton, II | The New American

A recent survey conducted earlier this month by the Harris Interactive polling firm on behalf of the Bill of Rights Institute reveals that 42 percent cannot distinguish between the teachings of Karl Marx and those of our Founding Fathers. by Joe Wolverton II

Sweet.

The people he was talking to seem like they've been watching some zeitgeist, they kept falling back on anti-money arguments.

Anti-money has been tried before and it is even worse than regular ol' Communism. Anabaptists, Democratic Kampuche, etc. All horrible horrible conditions. I've never understood the logic either -- they don't want to outlaw trade, but money, but money is just any other good that people trade. It makes no sense. Are they going to outlaw linen, or rice, maybe copper if people start to use it as money?

We are lucky that our idealism is justified and rooted in logic and history. There are many who share the idealism, but don't understand the solutions that have worked and those that have not.

Wha was the date and the time interval for verbal beatdown on the podcast? I just went to iTunes but it says Joe Rogan experience is either 2-15 or 2-17? Thanks

I like how he was scared of Feudalism, but then argued for a system that rewards with "giving titles and classes of stature" etc lol.

This is why they are so afraid of Gold.Once people can save in a safe way and see their savings increased in purchasing power by ever increasing productivity, all this Socialist envy will evaporate like a mist.'We' (UK in my case) already went through the industrialisation phase.Socialism would be dead immediately.

All these people who preach their systems wherein tolerance is an important virtue then go on to argue for a massive violent coercive system where there is no tolerance for dissension. I either have to conclude these people have IQ's of 75, or that they are merely thieves enveloped in an ideology. I am going with a hybrid where they are both stupid and thieves. Joe could have done better, but he held his own a bit. I would have called out the comedian that if he wants society to evolve, he must first evolve himself and until you can show us how what you propose is so much better why the fuck would we follow you? That is the thing -- everyones system always relies on a superior man, an enlightened man, a better man, etc. they all fail because humans will never change. The moment you hear someone trying to spread a system that relies on a human being comporting to a different nature than we have now, run far far away because there will be mass death and starvation soon to follow.

The thing with Capitalism is that it requires no new man. It is based on human nature as it is, and for that reason it is why it is much superior to any other (that and it being moral).
