JD Vance on hot seat for defending young republican "Hitler" chat saying the 20 somethings were "just kids"

yeah, what's the prob? Hitler welcomed Jesse Owens with open arms.

Considering the fact that Hitler is the pseudonym that the media gave president Trump over the last 9 years I could understand why someone in their 20s might like "Hitler" since half the country voted for him.

If you say you love Hitler, you're obviously just a bunch of good 'ole boys joking around.
If you say Charlie Kirk got what he deserved, you're obviously a domestic terrorist hell-bent on overthrowing the U.S. government.

Republican leaders keep getting shot because the media labeled them nazis and Hitler.

If Republicans embrace that label fictitiously its not happening for no good reasons. Republicans aren't going to hate themselves because they get called Hitler.

Only 10 percent of US citizens age 16 to 24 are employed according to 2024 bureau of labor. Meaning it is possible up to 90 percent of people under 25 are functionally retarded.

Right and that's why I try not to take the moral high ground on that stuff as certainly I have been pleased when people have died before.

It's better to just recognize that we all just hate each other because of incompatible cultures and values

So what? Those are kids talking trash on line. I don't get offended that people talk trash about old straight white Christian men and praise communist mass murderers nor do Democrat leaders call them out. The internet is a rough place.

"A German sports reporter, Siegfried Mischner, has claimed Owens carried a photograph of himself shaking hands with Hitler and called it 'one of my most beautiful moments'.

"Mischner, 83, says he and several other reporters saw the handshake behind the stands at the Olympic stadium but never mentioned it.

"After all those stories about Hitler and his snub, I came back to my native country and I couldn't ride in the front of the bus,' Owens recalled.

"President Franklin Roosevelt never congratulated Owens or invited him to the White House. 'Hitler didn't snub me - it was FDR who snubbed me,' Owens said.

Vance is right. Thank God there was no text messaging or social media when I was that age. I said lots of stupid things.

Interesting comparison. A potential contradiction by some supporters of Trump or on the right in general. Both seem to be hyperbole seeking to incite outrage. In other words trolling.

Although in terms of potential sarcasm or dark humor, the Hitler reference is universally known for being a taboo subject, and more likely to be interpreted as an exaggeration.

On the other hand, the Charlie Kirk assassination does not have the long history of either being taboo or dark humor, and thus is more likely to be interpreted as being a completely true sentiment, publicly expressed as a murderous and malicious troll.
