I want to know if anyone thinks it is worth the chance... what if life does begin at conception? Wouldnt that mean that the US has committed genocide on a scale 9 times greater that the holocaust? Me personally, all religious arguments aside, cant possibly fathom taking a chance on potentially killing someone.

Again, return to the logical expansion of that idea: if we err on the side of caution (in favor of the fetus), we're going to coerce a woman to bring a pregnancy to term. Why not also tell her she can't eat certain things that will mess with it in the womb? Why not also tell her she can't put herself in statistically probable dangerous situations? Where do you want it to stop?

Since abortion is a direct action taken against a fetus/baby then it is alot different than a woman mistreating her body. My mom smoked when she had me and I seem okay. I think most anti-abortionists oppose the direct act of abortion mostly; alot of women that dont want the baby will abuse drugs and alcohol to abort the baby... this is very hazardous to the mother as well. I dont condone this, but this is definitely gray area as far as the legality is concerned.

But legalizing direct action against the fetus is condoning murder if it was proven that life begins at the point of conception.

This is going to backfire. Why does Ron Paul have to be on his show in order for Stern to support him? You have to look at the broader picture here. A mulititude of Americans think Stern is a pig and his brand of humor piggish. It's a mistake to push for Ron Paul to be on his show. Why don't you just push for Stern to support him? Strippers, druggies, racists, and prostitutes love him too, does that mean he has to appear at their conventions (or whatever)?

The killing of someone is still handled by the States. They decide if it is manslaughter, murder and what degree it is; they decide the punishment. No where in the Constitution does it dictate the punishment for any crime.

AFTER ALL, we believe in Liberty first--the Constitution was made to ensure liberty and the rule of law. The Constitution is not the most holy thing--if it restricts liberty or has provisions that allow the circumvention rule of law (3/5 of a person violated equality under law, and therefore the rule of law, and that was rightly changed).

Since when does the Constitution give precedence of liberty over life? You don't have the liberty to murder someone.

I believe abortion should be legal, even though I am very strongly against it morally. My reasoning is that if it is criminalized it would require the creation of what would have to be a gestapo-like abortion police force. And since abortions don't happen in public-like setting in the way that theft or murder usually do, it would require incredible levels of civil lberties violations to "win" the war on abortion. And then, like the war on drugs, it still wouldn't work. So I am against criminalizing it, but I am for federal, state, and local programs to discourage it with education and help and promoting adoption and birth control. And I will work with organizations that work for those things also.

Murder and theft usually happen on private property. Someone breaks into your home and murders your family, do you want the police to investigate? They do have the ability as granted by the Constitution to get a warrant to search you and your belongings.

Why are you morally against it? If you think the unborn is a human being and don't want the government to protect it, you are a hypocrite. It is those that can't speak for themselves that need the most protection! What you said gives me chills because I see people in the communist Soviet Union discussing the genocide of Christians and one saying, "while I am morally against it, I don't think it should be illegal because..."

During his incredible experience at the San Francisco Walk For Life on Jan 19th, Vince found thousands of active voters that want to hear about Ron Paul. He helped pass out thousands of fliers and got hundreds of votes for Dr. Paul.

On Jan 22nd, the National March for Life will attract between 100,000 and 200,000 people to Washington, D.C. Most of them are undecided registered Republican. This is a golden opportunity.

That's why Vince got a ticket to D.C. and arrived Monday afternoon bearing 12,000 beautiful pro-life fliers.

At the SF Walk, it took 20 people to pass out 5,000 fliers. So we need many more Ron Paul supporters to help Vince on Tuesday morning. The best time to distribute fliers is when the buses unload and when the participants queue up waiting to begin walking.

Most people there won't know that Ron Paul has delivered 4,000 babies and has a sterling pro-life record that is second to none. Many of them don't like their choices only because they don't know that Ron Paul is a OB/GYN.

Bringing people good news and information they want to hear is a pleasure. It's an easy way to get thousands of votes from a friendly audience!

We got hundreds of pro-life voters to support Ron Paul at the SF Walk last Sunday. With the Roe endorsement we can find tens of thousands of new supporters.
