Jake Tapper nails Trump on "Mexican" judge comments in utterly mad interview

This is completely wrong. Trump made a statement that is arguably racial in that it deals with race (although it actuality it deals with ethnicity, but I am willing to ignore that for the sake of argument).. But it is not racist - PERIOD. People in this country are sick and tired of being called racist for not succumbing to every demand of the SJW leftist paradigm and being called racist for making a statement about a person's race or ethnicity that isn't even racist, it is just something that they don't like.

If Trump said he didn't want a Mexican Judge because they would be biased against him, then you could maybe get away with calling him a racist if you want. But Trump NEVER said that, he actually said that he didn't like his Judge because he was biased against him and made bad rulings, which he said was because he disagreed with him politically and was tangentially related to his race. That's not racist, PERIOD. There are no technicalities, it just isn't racist.

This is what Trump said:

Mr. Trump said it was clear that he considered Judge Curiel’s heritage an issue: “I’m building the wall, I’m building the wall. I have a Mexican judge. He’s of Mexican heritage. He should have recused himself, not only for that, for other things.

Spin it how you like (mod edit)

The idiot Trump supporters are trying to defend what Trump said by using technicalities. Kind of like Bill Clinton and his definition of what "is" is. It's difficult to go on to liberty oriented forums and try to drum up support for an authoritarian. So they have to result to idiot tactics.

Let's turn the tables - let's say a black man is falsely accused of rape by a white girl. Let's say the all white jury convicts the man and sentences him to life in prison, even though it's pretty clear he was innocent.

Would it be racist of the black man to say that the all white jury was biased against him?

If you think Trump is racist for what he said, but the black guy above is not racist for saying that the all white jury was biased against him, then YOU are racist. YOU are racist.

October 2014?

Did someone force Trump to run? Did they force him to SPECIFICALLY CHOOSE to go against Mexicans?

Hi! Are you Bill Clinton? Will you tell us what the definition of "is" is? I hear Clinton and Trump are good friends so it would surprise me that you are so supportive of him Bill!

Spin it how you like Trump troll.

I don't have to spin anything, you haven't made any arguments against what I said. I said that Trump said the Judge was biased against him and that was because of his political beliefs which were related to his ethnicity. You posted a partial quote of one of his statements that fits in with exactly what I said. Trump never said that any Mexican Judge would be biased, he just said this guy is and gave the reasons.

Just because Trump brought up the fact that the guy was Mexican doesn't mean he is racist, he brought up all these political groups the guy belonged to and showed how they had ideological differences. The fact is the Judge is supposed to recuse himself even if there is an appearance or possibility of bias. The Judge should have recused himself in this case, there is clearly a strong case to be made that the Judge could be biased against Trump, which is all the legal standing needed for a Judge to recuse himself.

Can you answer the question instead of being a smart ass? Is the innocent black guy racist for saying that his all white jury was biased or not?

Blah, blah, blah.... Trump brought up the fact that he is Mexican like the moron he is. Now he has his moron supporters trying to find ways to spin what he said in order to defend him.

Since we are doing "what ifs." What if Donald Trump is an alien? What if he is a secret Clinton supporter? What is the definition of "is"?

So now bringing up somebody's heritage is racist?

A simple "Yes" or "No" will suffice - is an innocent black man who points out his all white jury was biased against him a racist?

Can you answer the question?

All eyes are on you - GO!

October 2014?

Smart people with yuuge brains don't intentionally run for president on platforms that compete with their legal interests, unless, perhaps, they plan to make stupid arguments about how a judge should recuse himself because after the court case started one of the parties decided to create controversy because said party wasn't happy with how the proceedings were going.

So now bringing up somebody's heritage is racist?

Hahaha Trump supporter. Dumb as rocks. He is the idiot for bringing it up. And his poor supporters have to go around defending what he says. Tough job!!! When did I say anything about him being a racist? I know its hard for you to think. Trump supporters. Dumb as rocks.

Am I supposed to answer all of your "What if" questions? Is that the best you got? What is the definition of "is?" Tell me Bill!

It's not hard for me to think, but obviously it is hard for you to answer a simple "Yes" or "No" question.

Is an innocent black man who points out his all white jury was biased against him a racist?

Nope, just this one will suffice. Why are you going through so much effort to avoid answering the question? Wouldn't it be easier to just type "Yes" or "No" and post the reply?

Is an innocent black man who points out his all white jury was biased against him a racist?

How do I know he's innocent? What if he is guilty but he is saying that the jury is racist against him? What happens then? Thinking is REALLY hard for you. I know.

You have yet to make the connection how any of this makes any difference in whether or not his statement was racist, which is the issue of this thread.

There are other threads to discuss the Trump U case, this one is for discussing whether what Trump said was racist, which it was not.

How do I know he's innocent? What if he is guilty but he is saying that the jury is racist against him? What happens then? Thinking is REALLY hard for you. I know.

What if there was a chicken on trial and all of the jury were foxes.

YOU know he is innocent, HE knows he is innocent. I already gave you that information.

Yes or No

Is an innocent black man who points out his all white jury was biased against him a racist?

I love getting people trapped in corners where they start telling jokes to avoid answering serious questions that will dismantle their entire argument :D

Anybody want to answer the question? I'll open up the floor to anybody.

Is an innocent black man who points out his all white jury was biased against him a racist? Yes or No will suffice.
