Iowa was a colossal success. Really.

It's 2000 per state. And 100,000 is 1/10th of 1% of those who will likely vote in November.

November isn't an issue. Only 10 percent of those who vote in November will vote in the primaries. And if we look at Meetup members merely as VOTES or even merely as DONORS than we're done already. Meetup members need to represent volunteers. If we have 2000 actively working volunteers in each state all take action on the ground every day from now until super duper Tuesday we'll be in good shape. Of course that's the 23 million dollar question. How do you get everybody who says the support Ron Paul to actually get out and do something? Hopefully the "precinct captain" push will provide the answer.

I'm happy with Iowa, it's exactly what was needed to go into NH and get a place at the debate/forum table.

Because of Paul's IA 10% showing, Fox/Big Media stands to lose either way; include/disinclude = media coverage!

Please contact Saint Anselm college, where the debate/forums will be held, and ask them to state, publicly, how they reconcile their "Learning Liberty" program with allowing Fox to censor democracy on their property.

Slow and steady, onwards and upwards!

Agree, nice post and welcome!

so what you are really saying is that we should not hope for dr paul to win the election?
Not at all. I tried to make clear that I felt he did OK, and that his chances are still good. We have good reason to hope for victory. I'm just saying we shouldn't expect an early or lopsided victory, because it's not necessary, and it sets us up for disappointment, which in turn can stall the momentum of the campaign.

wow. I'm shocked. A new poster who hasn't come in here to tell us all how much we suck and how it has the solution to all our problems! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D Thanks! <3<3<3<3

Then another new poster has to come in and stink up the thread with its nasty farts. It amuses me how all the fair weather warriors seem to have lurked for months and done nothing, and now they are all of a sudden motivated to come out of the woodwork and "fix everything" when they should have done it months ago.

"Congressman Paul's poll numbers were less than the margin of error away from zero, he had little money, few volunteers, and zero name recognition. Coming from that situation, getting 10% in the Iowa caucuses is a staggering achievement."

My local radio station was talking about RP, I called and brought up the points mentioned above. Thanks for the great talking points.

We have what could be described as the potential for a logarithmic curve peaking at the national election.

It starts so slow it does not jump up and down is just steadily grows and grows nothing can stop it and nothing will, by the end it gets steeper and steeper until it almost goes vertical.

That would be an EXPONENTIAL curve. :)

Absolutely. Hope they were effective.

One note: I would make sure to include the phrase "6 months ago," at the beginning. Just a reminder in case you didn't.
