Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Welcome

Welcome to all the newcomers!

I love this place and especially the ideas that brought us together here and that Ron Paul champions. Hope you do too!

Hello all. I'm in Western New York between Buffalo and Rochester. I've been following Dr. Paul for about four years now. In that time I have turned on many of my friends and coworkers to Ron Paul mostly through showing them YouTube videos. This has proven to be the easiest way to show what the man is all about, simply show them Ron Paul being himself in his own words. Works every time.
I have a great distrust of the main stream media and have grown very tired of their campaign to sideline Dr. Paul. The establishment (media and government alike) openly hates this man and cringes at the mere mention of him like a vampire reeling from a crucifix and well they should.
I believe that the time of Ron Paul is now. In spite of all the forces aligned against him his message is getting out and resonating with the people, people from all over the political spectrum, from all walks of life and socio/economic backgrounds. Why?
Quite simply put, the man speaks the truth.

Very glad to be here, unemployed with zero resources but how can I help? :)

Hey everybody! My name is Dan, I've just graduated from college and will be moving to New York City for grad school. I've been lurking around here for a while; I first started following Dr. Paul back in 2007 during the debates. The man just speaks the truth! I'd be glad to help in anyway I can.

Hey, Mike here, Ron drew me in during the 07 debates. Started watching his youtube videos and was struck by his convictions, principles and long history of unwavering leadership for liberty. I remember listening to him talk and actually getting choked up. He gave me hope for us. I used to think govt was incompetent. Now i know they know what they are doing. i'm convicted, i want to take up the cause for liberty now, before it comes to a revolution. When the future is considered, one future which is scary yet probable involving our own military against the citizens of the USA. the writing is on the wall...i can see it happening if we continue to allow the govt to oppress us with ever so higher cost of living and loss of personal liberties. This is seriously our last chance.

Hi,

Jared here, currently living in Singapore but I'm from Michigan. I was in Kuwait during the 2008 campaign so I didn't hear much about Ron Paul. It wasn't until I watched Zeitgeist that I heard about the federal reserve and their background. I'm on the fence with most conspiracy theories but after seeing that, it really opened my eyes. I later found out about a man named Ron Paul who had written a book called "End The Fed." The rest is history.

Due to living overseas I can't campaign nearly as much as I would like to, but I try to do my part by donating to the money bombs and the Ron Paul 2012 Podcast. This coming April I'll be ending 8 years of active duty in the military. I was never really sure if I wanted to make it a career but after reading and listening to Ron Paul and seeing the things that our foreign policy causes, it really hit home with me and I've decided to get out and pursue other interests. I support the military and the troops but I don't support our interventionism or the people who create such policies. I feel honored to be a part of the Revolution.

Hello America!

Hello America!

Been lurking this forums since 2007 sometime around watching the candidates@Google youtube video. Initally in an information collecting capacity to assess the betting markets as my username implies - cuz we know it all happens here first, right! ;)

Four years ago I thought your chances was slim, but your influence major and the process necessary.
This time around it seems possible, likely even, that with enough energy in the Dr Paul win direction the establishment will crumble by being exposed from within and that Dr Paul will get the GOP nomination against the odds - literally. America(and the world) is going through major transformation and that's putting it mildly. You are part of it that transformation, be the change, inflame the desire within until you get excited about what you want and it will happen.

Being an international poster from the UK I can't vote or donate, but it's possible I can kick ass help out anyhow :D
Politically wise I don't always agree with Dr Paul, although over the years have come to understand where he is coming from, but the key thing is the honesty and integrity that he shows - this is his and your winning card. In politicial issues you normally get 50% agreement and at best 75% or so agreement, but ask anyone if they want a honest truthful politian and you'll get 99.9% agreement. Integrate that into the message like Dr Paul does into his interviews. I think the honesty and truthfulness is why many of you are attracted to Dr Pauls message and why many are here and why you can find people on the internet that would completely disagree with Dr Paul on the issues but will vote for him regardless. Truth and honesty wins out.

Been a root admin-istrator on a large none political forum for most of 3 years (2006-2008), so familiar with much of the ins and out of organising volunteers and running forums online, including promotion, staffing, SEO, social networking etc although not done any of that for several years now.

Have got a rather decent idea that you can run with as a team project but as a newbie I hesitate to post it at this time as it may get overlooked, and so not get the energy required quite yet.

Hello also to other newbies, lurkers and anyone reading this thread. :p

Thanks

Thanks for joining the site, and I highly recommend you post any and all ideas. This isn't a democracy where the opinions of the minority are censored by the majority we are diverse and open-minded, except maybe sofia. J/k. Enjoy :)

Where should I start?

My name is Phil, I live in Massachusetts. No, I'm not really a doctor, it's just a nickname. I'm 18 years old and will be attending college this fall, majoring in Mathematics.

I've been a Ron Paul supporter and Libertarian for almost two years once I learned the truth. The 2012 elections and primaries will be the first elections I can participate in, and I can't wait.

Want to know more about me? Alright, I've been playing guitar for almost five years and love it. If you're curious as to what guitar I have, it's an Ibanez RGT42MDX with white Dimarzio Evolution pickups (unlike the black ones in this picture: http://www.imusician.co.uk/acatalog/00067018.jpg). I played WoW on and off for the last few years, but recently quit for good because college is coming up really soon.

I really got into politics after the 2008 elections, after hearing about Ron Paul through my homeroom and freshman history teacher, a Libertarian himself. I've done a lot of research since I was enlightened and I now know where I stand.

Any other questions? Ask!

My name is John-David, a lot of people call me JD though. I am 17 years old, I will be able to participate in the primary and election, I cant wait. I haven't been interested in politics long, Dr. Paul cured my apathy. I joined the Revolution in April. I am very passionate about this. I do what I can to help out the cause. I started talking about it a lot on Facebook, and people began asking me about Ron Paul at school. I have gotten my friends to support Paul now, it has become something big at school. Whenever me and my friends see each other in the hallway we yell "Ron Paul!" and high five each other. We tell others at school about him and now people i haven't ever talked to will yell the doctors name in the hallways and classroom. I have brought my father, neighbors over to our side. My father and I are working on my grandmother now. Just talking about the man and the whole movement on statuses on FB and putting sings on walls at school and informing people is working very effectively.

For some more info about myself, I am from Alabama. I love college football, I am a huge University of Alabama fan. I plan to campaign for Dr. Paul at the tailgating this season. I am a senior in high school. I am also a life long Boston Celtics fan. I am an easy going guy, I get a long with everybody. I love music, i listen to a lot of hip hop, but nothing mainstream really. I like Tupac, Nas, Curren$y etc.. I also like Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold. I am thinking about majoring in Political Science once i get into college but am not completely sure yet. Anything else just ask.

My name is Cami and I live in Chadbourn, NC with my husband and 8 of my 10 children. (Two are grown now) For those who do not know, Chadbourn is near the coast of our state. We have a small farm where aside from raising our children, we raise a garden, orchard, and farm critters. :)

In the way of employment, I am currently just a full-time mom and caretaker of this farm but in the past, I was also a real estate investor, secretary, and worked in the nursing profession.

I've always been a Libertarian and believed in the ideals of our Founding Fathers. I became interested in Dr. Ron Paul in 2007 and have been doing what I can to spread his message to the sheeple of this country. I have grown so disgusted with the things happening all around us, but with Ron Paul, I have hope. Hope that the Republic and Liberty can be restored.

I have joined several meetup groups near me and will be doing even more to help Ron Paul get elected. Unfortunately, there is not a group in my actual location so I am also thinking of starting one up here as well.

It is nice to meet all of you fellow patriots and I look forward to learning as much as I can from all of you and helping to get the word out.

Hi John-David, I just wanted to say that I think it is absolutely wonderful that a person your age is showing an interest in voting and politics!! I wish more of America's youth showed such a passion.

Hi I'm Anthony, I'm from Delaware.

I have heard things about Ron Paul since some time last year, but didn't really start looking into him until recently. All I can say, is WOW.
What really won my support, was this movie I saw on youtube, For Liberty, and a friend of mine who lives in The Netherlands (yes, it was a Dutch guy that brought me on-board for an American candidate).

I simply love this guy, and what he stands for. I have donated to him quite a few times so far, and will do as much as I can with my limited resources here in Delaware to help him win the Primaries (and then, the Presidency!).

Hey everybody!

My name is Miranda and I am from Southern California. I am in my final year at Seattle University and I major in Philosophy/Cultural Anthropology with minors in History, English, Medieval Studies, and Asian Studies. I am 21 years of age and I love writing, reading, singing, buttons, astronomy, and the color yellow!

I'm actually a long-time Ron Paul supporter but I didn't join the forums until recently because I didn't know they existed! I first heard of Ron Paul when my mother told me about a Republican who raised 6.2 million dollars in one day. I couldn't believe it. Being seventeen and the child of a mid-low income family, I was slightly appalled about this. I wanted to hate Ron Paul in that instant, insisting that he recieved all the money from big-time corporations. But, my curiosity got the best of me (as it always does) and I looked up a Ron Paul video on youtube. Needless to say, it blew my mind. When he stated in a debate he was against the wars, that he would bring all our troops home from EVERYWHERE, I almost cried. I soon learned about his other policies and decided he truly was the man for the job. So, on the next moneybomb, I (or rather my mom, since you had to be 18 years or older to donate!) gave 20 dollars of my Carl's Jr. paycheck to support a candidate I thought was the last true statesman in America and would defend the Constitution until his last breath.

I have been mocked, called insane, and threatened by people who all oppose Ron Paul for one reason or another. All I ask of them is to stop listening to the propoganda on the mainstream media and listen to his message, his REAL message in his books and all over the internet. Then, once fully informed, they can decide once and for all if Ron Paul is our last chance at a true republic.

I'm happy to be a part of this forum and will stick with it even after liberty is restored to the people!

Thanks for having me,

Sunstruck-Eden

Welcome to the busiest bunch on the internets! Trivia time. Did you know that humans cannot see the color pure yellow? It has to have a little bit of another primary in it to be seen and sensed.

LIBERTY, thats to answer the Why ? question which is the most important to me.

I've been on rpf.com for a few weeks now, and kind of skipped over the introduction part not being sure to what extent I would ratify rpf.com personally. This probably stems from my contrarian / skeptical mind frame and esteem for Liberty (privacy) among others things (I'm not a fan of facebook et cetera).
Having said that I found myself wanting to know the community and all that entails.

My name is Banks, I live in Atlanta, Georgia and I'm 23.Oh and yes I support the principle of Liberty and it's messenger Ron Paul.

I grew up hearing my grandmother talk about fiat currencies, my father talk to me about the evils of taxes and tyranny (& so much more), a very Liberty friendly environment.Life went on and around 17 life prompted me to see and understand Liberty and it's struggle to a point of no return, Liberty (& justice) would be my life's purpose.I won't go into the exact details of "the story" as I call it.It introduced me to so many things concerning Liberty I wouldn't know where to start (judges...), most of these things where around the filed of law et cetera.
All this to come to the point that when a learnt about Ron Paul it was a natural process to adhere to his views because the basics where already mine.I wasn't in the US during the 07/08 primary having been traveling for sometime (mostly Europe) so I missed quite a lot, but kept a steady pace on the study of things like Austrian economics, Natural Law, Ron Paul himself and more. This has grown exponentially and even more since Ron announced his candidacy for 2012 which brings me here, to experience what I could not fully experience in 07/08 and feed my appetite for knowledge and Liberty (aka helping is a given).
As other information I'm a freelance legal researcher (mainly legal but not only), writer and most things in conjecture with that world, plus I would and businessman to my resume.I am working on a website project at the moment which is themed by Liberty / news / an original touch (can't say to much as of now).I love snowboarding and sailing as physical activities go and I'm fluent in French, somewhat in Spanish.

I would like to say thank you for the welcome (without introduction, bad me ^^) you have already given me and thank you for supporting Liberty.
Also welcome to the newcomers that have arrived since after me, Miranda, Lance (I love your story about the monkeys and the correlation you made to Ron), Anthony, Cami to just name the latest.

Banks.

Hello everybody, I can't remember if I posted an introduction before starting my other posts.

My name is Bryce. I've been living in eastern Utah and western Colorado, nearby, for the last 5 years (I lived in each state twice during that time, but most of it in 2 1/2 year stretches first in CO and then in UT), but I've lived on opposite coasts and all over the country, most of my life in the northeast actually (12 years in Maine, 11 in upstate New York). I am now returning there, am in the middle of moving back, this time to New Hampshire. I have been a member of the Free State Project, an endeavor to get 20,000 liberty-loving activists into one low-population state to make a big impact for freedom in that state, for more than 2 years, and am now making the move! As it is on my mind right now, and as I needed another way to reach people who believe in liberty to try to get some people to my events, I will be posting about my Liberty Caravan during the duration (I left western Colorado on the 7th, and will arrive in NH on the 16th). I am currently in Denver, but will travel to western Nebraska today. See www.libertycaravan.org for daily reports of my travels.

I am a former member of the Libertarian Party (I didn't see much success there) and also a big Ron Paul fan, I have donated to one of his moneybombs, and pledged to another. I didn't see much point in doing anything in Utah (I think Romney or Huntsman will win the primary there, lots of people there like to vote for someone of the same religion). I definitely plan to help Ron Paul's campaign after arriving in New Hampshire, along with some other FSP and (small-L) libertarian outreach.

Since we're talking about entertainment as well, I love old Disney movies from the 60's and 70's, and also a lot of folk and (light) rock and pop music, also some classical (but not when I need to stay awake - lol), musicals and movie soundtracks, and some religious music (I am LDS and love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir). I also grew up on John Denver.

I haven't mentioned my job so far because it's not much - I have worked for Walmart for 5 years and will be transferring with them from Utah to New Hampshire. I have had many moments when I had to remind myself that I needed to be able to transfer. I am not a person who quits a job easily, as I value the security and benefits, not the mention the building up of pay raises over time, but I have been tempted a few times! I have lived in remote areas of Utah and Colorado the last 5 years, where there were not a whole lot of indoors, non-governmental job alternatives within an hour's drive, but that will be different once I am settled in the seacoast area of New Hampshire, so we'll see what happens.

Anyway, I'm excited to be a part of the forum! I probably won't have a whole lot of time to read other people's posts during my move, but once I'm settled in, I'm going to plan to do that regularly.
