Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Hey all! New to the forums, but not the Cause :D

Was all for Ron Paul in 2008 and still am in 2012. I'm 27, from Nevada and ready for REAL change. I'm equally sick of Republicans and Democrats, or as some call them, "Republicrats", and disillusioned with the 2-party system in general. I find Ron and Rand's speeches very inspiring and agree with 99.9999% of Ron's views on the issues. (NO candidate thinks EXACTLY like you, right?)

Ready to teach and learn, with your help. PEACE!

I'm a British libertarian who had heard the name of Ron Paul before but never really looked into his ideas further until two or three weeks ago when he put in his presidential candidacy. I was amazed to find that his basic views matched my own so closely, so I had to research further and eventually came across this forum. Learning about the American system is a very steep learning curve, and there is plenty of room for misunderstandings as I place questions and posts on the forum, because naturally I always have my "British goggles" on and have just the beginnings of an understanding about American politics. I think one of Ron Paul's many strengths is the way he replies to questions or objections that are put to him in simple language that everyone can understand. I am interested in tying up with other Europeans who support his ideas and to work towards bringing him over here to meet up with supporters. I'm also interested in doing a house-swap holiday with an American libertarian family in the next year or two so that I can come and see the American libertarian scene for real.

All the best

My name is Rhonda and I live in Alaska's beautiful Mat-Su Valley. I thought Ron Paul was too way out there in 2008 but now he's got my support. If a definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then voting for Democrats and Republicans is insane. I'm a long time Republican, but definitely leaning libertarian. Democrats are the party of big government and Republicans are the other party of big government. I'm sick of them both. I'm happy to be on board with Ron Paul this go-round.

Welcome, Rhonda! Glad to have you aboard. Ron won't appeal to everyone on all issues, but the most important thing to understand for mainstream Republicans out there is that there is only one candidate who has always fought for lower taxes, more freedom, and less government, consistently for more than 30 years. :)

Welcome to everyone! It's very encouraging to see how many more people are coming to support the good doctor, and how momentum is building. Together, we will become an unstoppable force and change the course of history!

Hello all my name is Jake and i'm from the great state of California. San Jose to be precise. I've been a Ron Paul supporter since the first time I watched him debate in 2007. I haven't spent a lot of time personally grassrooting, but I was a member at DailyPaul for a few years. The reason I left that site is primarily cosmetic ... I don't like the way the site and forums look!

The forum here has a much better design and I appreciate it.

Expect to see me active in grassrooting and discussing hot topics here at RPF.com

Welcome.

Missy from Florida

Hi, I'm Missy from Florida. I am a new Ron Paul supporter. A lot of the long time Ron Paul/liberty supporters I have met seems frustrated, tired and discouraged. Hopefully, my newness will bring enthusiasm and energy. I think I can bring new people to the liberty movement since it was not so long ago that I had the same reservations as others and can relate to how they feel. Personal conections are important when changing people's minds and opening their eyes to the situation around us.

Hi, I'm Sam, and I live in Illinois. I've voted for Ron Paul in the 2008 Republican primary, and I'm considering donating to the campaign today. Right now, Ron Paul is my top choice for the 2012 election, but I'm still weary about making the investment of donating to the campaign, and that's why I'm here today. (I plan to stick around afterwards too)

In political environments that tend to support a particular candidate or agenda, I tend to be one of the more disagreeable contributors, as I never feel compelled to conform to the local viewpoint. I am quite open minded though, and often find myself on the other side of an issue than where I was in the past.

Longtime supporter, first time poster. I'm a veteran of the 08 campaign who decided to quit lurking around reading posts about the money bomb and throw some up myself.

I am Zimobog from Alaska, I live in the Mat-Su valley. I heard about Ron Paul when I was getting educated about the Federal Reserve and noticed his name popped up a lot among other circles with other people I respected. I saw him debate on Youtube in the primary last cycle and thought "so that's what that Ron Paul is all about". I read "Liberty Defined" and "The Revolution" and decided to donate money. I found this forum a little earlier in the year when I searched for "Libertarian Forums" and joined.

I am an independent voter, but I have solid libertarian/constitutionalist creds. I'd love to see Dr. Paul get elected!

My name is Ryan. I am a major Ron Paul supporter. I attend college at Virginia Tech. I really am willing to get involved in the campaign/am considering of trying to start a chapter of Young American for Liberty here at Virginia Tech. If anyone who attends VT happens by this please send me a PM so we can get a chapter going here =D

VT alum here also! Welcome to RPF!

Wow. I stumbled in here, amazed that my old login still
worked.

I had always voted Democrat/Libertarian, but in 2008 I
switched to Republican just so I could vote for Ron Paul in the
primaries. I was frustrated that Ron Paul wasn"t a choice in
the main election, so I wrote him in.

Wasted vote? I think not. It was a vote denied to all of the
other candidates that I don't want and don't trust.

Hi! I'm James N. Thames from Austin, Texas.

New to thread

I am a recent convert to the Ron Paul revolution. As a student at the University of Iowa I was a rank and file Democrat and took my cues about Ron Paul from the mainstream press. Upon recent events I am now able to see Ron Paul was right and being a citizen of the state of Iowa I feel a special responsibility to spread the word. Looking for new ideas and willing to do whatever it takes to spread the good word of Dr. Ron Paul

Ron Paul ever since the first gop primary debate in 07. I started just simply being anti-war and now I'm a pretty hardcore Paulite.
I check lrc and dailypaul each 3 or 4 times daily. I might be addicted to liberty.
