Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Glad to have you on RPF! Follow me on twitter, as I'm often in DC doing pro-liberty work. A meetup might be in the future, especially in Georgetown, love Clyde's and Kaz Sushi!

Thanks msmcain. Keep me posted on your whereabouts. That goes for all you other DC-sters as well. It would be cool to meet up and discuss stuff, activist options, strategies, etc. I am pretty busy for most of this month, but March is wide open (beware those ides, tho).

Hello all,

I've been lurking Ron Paul forums for a couple years, but haven't posted until today. I've been really active locally since the 08 primary. Ron Paul's speech at CPAC was extremely inspiring. Between his speech and winning the straw poll, I have been in the best mood.

Good to see you climb out of the shadows :) I loved his speech, too. I think it was his best one yet.

My name's Kyle. I'm 20, live in Olympia, WA, and an unemployed student currently looking for a job. It's hard living in my city because of the mindset of its' residents. Nearly everyone here worships Obama, and is trying to push Single-Payer healthcare. I'm looked at as a 'right-wing nut' who loves Rush and Beck when I despise them and the neo-cons that they try to label me as. They don't want to hear me out, and stop listening if I ever try to have an honest, thoughtful debate.

I am planning to study economics, but it's hard for me to try in school when most all the teachers I've taken classes from are just trying to push their own agenda on the students. I'm in an International Politics class right now, and it's hard to watch the teacher brainwash all my fellow students. At the beginning of the quarter, many of them were against war and intervention. But now they all praise the UN and our foreign policy for "spreading democracy" and whatnot, due to the textbook and teacher's assertion that this is the future. I continually challenge the ideas pushed by the book and teacher but now my grades are falling because the teacher doesn't like it. This is the kind of thing that makes me hate school.

But I digress. I used to be a staunch liberal who loved Clinton and hated Bush when I was younger, mostly due to my Mom's political stance. I had absolutely zero idea about politics, economics, etc. I thought universal health care was a great thing after watching Sicko. I guess my first introduction into Libertarianism and Paul's ideas would be watching John Stossel's segments when I was younger and finding how often I agreed with him. I can't name the first time I discovered Ron Paul and his ideas, but I know that once I started listening to his views, everything started to make sense to me. It was like a light-bulb flicking on, and I had discovered the answer to my true beliefs. Anyway, now I've been a huge supporter of Paul since he started running for Pres, and I continue to support him and candidates that share our beliefs like Peter Schiff and Debra Medina.

Not much else to say I guess.

... I´m already falling in love. My econ teacher in high school had a UN flag up in his room the whole year. It was a constant bother. Eventually, I broke down and bought him a Gadsden flag. He wouldn´t remove the UN flag, but at least he put the Gadsden flag up next to it.

Hi guys, Im a Texan who did some work on Dr Paul's campaign in 2008, kinda lost interest in politics, but with the Texas governer's election and the mid terms coming up, my interest has re-ignited. glad to be here.

welcome my friend! There are many of us young people here :)

Hi,
Martin, Ireland 22 Electronic Engineer.

I have never been involved nor cared about politics. All the politicians seem the same here in Ireland but Ron Pauls message resonated with me over 2 years ago.

I have been coming on here since Ron Paul cured my appetite back in 2007. I was a regular digg user and could not help but check out Ron Paul stories which were constantly hitting the front page.

I used to have another account during the golden age here but unfortunately I can not seem to log in with it but that doesn't matter.

Anyways hope the community can welcome a humble Irish person,

Martin

Yo

I'm an 18 year old beans and rice from SoCal. I admire Robert A. Taft. I am half Mexican and half white. I'm a registered republican. I am probably not as libertarian as many here but I have sympathies to the movement. Let me say that I am not a "100% for Paul or Johnson" type of guy, but I can be convinced. Either way I hope to contribute with my perspective and bring something new to the forum, and bond over our common goal- ending the destructive tax and spend policies of the left-wing fanatics currently in office.

Welcome! We're glad you're here.

You have the right attitude - we might not agree on everything, but let's work together towards our common goals. (I would add though: keep an open mind. This place has been known to convince many members on countless issues.)

Hello I am 18 years old. I hold the political issues of Pat Buchanan as my name suggests.:pHowever I know Ron Paul and Buchanan are pretty similar on numerous issues. I am from South Carolina and cannot wait to post.:D

Welcome!!

Pat Buchanan is a badass... you should fit in just fine.

Welcome new folks. Put on your helmet -- this place is an 1870's era saloon of liberty --- gets kind of rough, but you are amongst friends.

Hello from San Jose

I am a Local coordinator for Campaign for Liberty in San Jose Ca. The main purpose of coming here is to coordinate with other webmasters to move and shake keywords on Google. I am a blogger, webmaster, SEO expert and have many social networking sites for contacting large groups of people.

I'm looking for a private forum so we can discuss in depth practices on networking on the net.

I Need a password protected forum for SEO techniques. I have a lot of knowledge on Social networking, affiliate marketing, SEO- white (legit), grey(simi-legit) and black(full fledged spammer)

I won't share that kind of information in the open. We would need to require that each person have a Ron Paul/ C4L / Libertarian website by putting a code on it long enough to be sent a password. Once confirmed they could join in and the fun could begin.

I would be happy to mod or co mod something like that. I have experience at vBulletin admin already.

Anyone Running the place???

I came here with high hopes of making a difference but after reading about how no one is manning the wheel I'm going to leave. I hope the owners know they are loosing a lot of opportunities for themselves and the United States.

Emily hang on. I've flagged your post and hopefully the admins will introduce themselves to you. One thing you should know is that the admins, while enforcing the mission statement, are very much about giving forum members the reigns to organize on their own. You don't need the admin to do that, unless you have need for subforums, etc.
