Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Hi,

I joined tonight at the invitation of Ray Powell in order to participate in the REAL town hall thread. It has been a long time since I have been on a forum and I see that they have become quite sophisticated. I'll be doing a lot of catching up on how they work.

I am a second generation Libertarian and a Jewish mom. I am on my third career. First I was a field biologist, next a teacher and a mom, and now I am working on a graduate degree in behavioral neuropsychology with a focus on Asperger Syndrome. I am taking a hiatus from university work this semester in order to devote my time in getting the New Mexico delegation to Continental Congress 2009 nominated, elected and supported. I believe we are rapidly approaching a tipping point in the Republic, and that my time and talents are best used in this work now.

Readers of these forums are cordially invited to view my blog, Ragamuffin Studies. I can be found on Twitter and Facebook.

Ooh! Another scientist. Welcome Elie! I'd love to hear what you have to say on Aspergers.

Ron Paul fan

Hi, all. Glad you are out there. Please to meet you.

1). I'm a Ron Paul fan - I drove to hear him speak during the election.

2). I oppose government interference in the free market, especiallly by recognition of corporations as legal entities.

3). I'm an "America Firster"...I dislike waring on third world nations and our lobbies that cause us to engage in foreign adventures.

4). I dispise "conversatives" and Sean Hannity nut huggers. I'm more of a paleoconservative like Buchannan (sp?)

5). I'm into going tea parties and town hall meetings and yelling at my elected officials to do what the people want.

6). Most importantly - I'M INTO WORKING WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE A SLIGHTLY DIFFERING IDEOLOGY SO WE CAN ACTUALLLY START GOING SOMEWHERE.

Welcome Ryan. :)

Hello my name is Evan and I am 20yrs old, if I had to categorize myself and put my political beliefs in to a description I would say that I am a hardcore libertarian or Goldwater Republican. I really enjoy Firearms, the outdoors, Diving, Studying history, Archeology, Anthropology and reading literature from our founding fathers particularly. I am currently majoring in world archeology and history and hope to get a degree in anthropology at a local 4 year college after my time at a local 2 year. I live in the socialist hellhole of MA and hope to escape when I get older.

The collective "we" welcome your badass self.*

Looking forward to your input.

Greetings one and all!

(I think I made my first, and introductory post, in the incorrect forum. Such is the excitement.)

I am from the Cincinnati/Northern KY area, and am not new to these forums. I have been a lurker since the elder Dr. Paul's presidential campaign. Now, however, I have a local candidate that has grabbed my attention - Dr. Rand Paul.

My political background:

The Conscience of a Conservative sums it up nicely.

I am a Goldwater Republican with very strong Libertarian leanings.

Thanks for the welcomes I have already received and I look forward to learning more. (Oh, and campaigning for Rand.)

I'm a semi-new member. Is there a mod that can help me change my name because I'm worried about privacy?

It takes an Admin to do that. I'll PM them for you. :)

Hi, my name's Ben. I've actually been a member on this site for a while but haven't posted yet. I live in Connecticut and am 16 years old. I am excited for Peter Schiff's senate run and will definitely volunteer my time for the campaign. Anyways, I learned about the liberty cause after taking the World's Smallest Political Quiz and answering agree to all the questions. Ever since reading "The Revolution: A Manifesto", I cannot talk to my friends about politics without dying inside when listening to their authoritarian views.

Hello everyone, my name is David. I am 34, married with four children and I live in Iowa. I am fairly conservative and lean towards the libertarian and constitution parties. I really think that with Obama as president that the United States has crossed that line on the slope and is starting its downward sprial towards socialism. I really hope I'm wrong on that one though.

Welcome! You'll find lots of other Schiff people here, check out the subforum: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=281

I'm Jay, 28, from Kentucky. I've been active in politics most of my life, but was finding it harder and harder to call myself a republican. But, after familiarizing myself over the past few years with the works of Buckley, Friedman, Sowell, the Pauls, and more, I'm finding it harder to NOT call myself a libertarian! Now, with Rand Paul running for Senator in my state, I finally have a chance to put all my abilities to work behind a candidate i can actually believe in, and without reservation. I'm also really glad to find these forums, and see i'm not alone!

Hello all, I'm from Ohio. Never really was into politics until about 2 years ago when I, a common citizen, seem there was a serious problem with our financial system, and no regulating authority was doing anything about it. I'm not to happy with mainstream media or Republican/Democratic leadership of this country. I'm pretty much on a quest for knowledge at this point. I finally decided to join this fine forum. Seems to be a wealth of information here. And very glad to be here.
