Your majors may need to change if you want to make money with your degree. You can learn more by reading political and economic text on your own.

That's true, but whenever I think about doing a different major, the end result is me getting rich and using my money and power to run for office. I figured I should just skip the middle step.

there is a way to get 40 posts per page. i did it a year or so ago, so i can't remember how, but a search might give you the instructions for this

Howdy. I'm new to these parts. I am a Ron Paul supporter currently residing in the Democratic People's Republic of North Carolina for graduate school, though I am originally from Texas and plan on returning there as soon as possible. I'm a Constitutional libertarian, and I believe in a very strict interpretation of the Constitution with as limited a role of government as possible - the more Madisonian the better. I figured I would join the forum to participate in some of the really interesting threads that pop up, and to keep up to date on the RP movement.
 
I am a big Ron Paul fan; and, I am working to help restore this Republic to one governed by the the rule of law and the Constitution.

A Call for Doctors to Prepare to Go on Strike

I'm a practicing psychologist in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and a long-time libertarian (since 1967) seeking a sense of affinity with like-minded individualists here.
I am the founder of a new organization, Doctors on Strike for Freedom in Medicine, which was established on July 4, 2009 to take on the mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting freedom in medicine. Our long-term objective is to supply doctors and healthcare providers with the intellectual ammunition required to win the “philosophical war” against statism in medicine. We provide doctors and other healthcare providers with a principled, vigorous defense of freedom in medicine based a philosophy of rational self-interest, individualism, and laissez faire capitalism. We have a more immediate, urgent goal for 2009: The defeat of the statist healthcare reform proposals presently percolating in Washington. We are calling on doctors to prepare themselves to go on strike against any more government-run healthcare programs. We are calling on doctors to let the country know now that doctors will go on strike if the President signs into law any legislation that establishes another government healthcare plan. I would love it if Dr. Paul would be among the first to sign The Declaration of Independence for Doctors at www.doctorsonstrike.com.
 
Hi, I'm Eduardo, I'm 19...

I don't really know what I am, I was born in Mexico, but my family is originally from Spain, grew up in Canada for a while, went to boarding school in Scotland and Germany, then lived in Russia for a bit, I went to university in London for 2 years, but now I've transferred and will be finishing my bachelors in Business Administration in Segovia, Spain...so I'm quite international! I speak English, Spanish, German, Russian and I understand (but am too ashamed to speak) French.

My political views have changed a lot over the years, from extreme right-wing statist, to center-right "conservative", to a moderate socialist, until a friend opened my eyes to the message of Ron Paul and liberty. Ever since then I've been captivated by the concepts of individual liberty and freedom.

I've always been extremely interested in politics and history, but only recently have I also had an urge to learn about economics. I've spent the past year non-stop reading Hayek, Mises, Rothbard, Adam Smith, trying to learn as much as I can! I'm addicted to mises.org, this forum and pretty much any opportunity to learn REAL economics and sensible political policy...Someday I hope to go into politics, not completely sure where though! At least I've got a lot of options for that :P

Too much time wasted, and most of the political boards had banned me anyway, since I am truly a "libertarian" and suffer no hypocrisy from any quarter. :D

Actually I only found this forum by searching for Ron Paul and Sasha Cohen after hearing it mentioned on Alex Jones last week.

Hi,

I joined tonight at the invitation of Ray Powell in order to participate in the REAL town hall thread. It has been a long time since I have been on a forum and I see that they have become quite sophisticated. I'll be doing a lot of catching up on how they work.

I am a second generation Libertarian and a Jewish mom. I am on my third career. First I was a field biologist, next a teacher and a mom, and now I am working on a graduate degree in behavioral neuropsychology with a focus on Asperger Syndrome. I am taking a hiatus from university work this semester in order to devote my time in getting the New Mexico delegation to Continental Congress 2009 nominated, elected and supported. I believe we are rapidly approaching a tipping point in the Republic, and that my time and talents are best used in this work now.
