Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Welcome Tabby, Check out ivaw.org and veteransforpeace.org - You Are Not Alone!
Thank you, haven't seen those sites before. Does there happen to be a section with useful links?

Also, Eve Radio is still alive and going strong, but I don't really listen to it.

Yes there are lots of useful links on those sites.

I've been registered here for awhile but haven't posted much (although I peruse the forum regularly).

I've been a libertarian since 1980 and was introduced to it by Tonie Nathan, who ran as VP on the first Libertarian Party Presidential ticket in 1972. I was active for about six years in the 80's and was a minor party official for a couple of years, during which time I had the opportunity to meet and befriend some impressive people including Karl Hess and Ron Paul. Over the years my views have evolved but the fundamental principles I was introduced to "stuck."

As Tonie once said to me years after our initial meeting, "you were born a libertarian and just didn't realize it."

Welcome, Old Ducker! Glad to have you here. :)

New here! DP alumni looking for a new place to hang. Thanks for being here. :D

Hello there and welcome Kat. good to see you here. theres many of your kind here youll feel right at home. From my experience its not a lot different than the daily paul here but the rules are a little stricter and more enforced, so make sure you read them. Mods are pretty cool though. people are nice here but i think theyre slightly older than the DP crowd. waiting for your posts

Hi, I'm someperson (took a while to think of that name ;)), a software developer. I've been lurking around here for what feels like 2 years now; I registered around the time of the Dec. 16 Tea Party, but I usually don't have much to say, so I never posted lol

Aravoth's videos were probably my introduction to Dr. Paul; his videos were and are exceptional. I've always admired the efforts shown by each person here. I regard each person here as a friend as we individually work toward liberty.

I'd like this post to be a fresh start for me, moving past the events of the last few days. During the early morning hours on the 29th, just after midnight, a certain poll shifted drastically, with hundreds of votes per minute suddenly going toward "the other candidate," along with several related polls being skewed, as well. I offered assistance, unrelated to the macros, to those of us who had chosen to respond in kind to those actions, with the intent of returning the poll to the way it was before it was unfairly altered.

Subsequently, I read many posts where people expressed their dismay at what was being done; I appreciate those posts adding perspective to the situation and I fully understand their points of view. I hope those of you can understand that we had only the best of intentions, as well, and I hope that anyone who feels that my actions in contributing were of poor judgement can forgive me.

As I mentioned before, I am one of few words, so I may disappear again in posting, but I'm always working for the message.

Thank you for reading :)

Hello

Hi everyone! My name is Mike, I am 19 years old and a huuuuuuge fan of Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty. I also have done a lot of research on economics and agree with the philosophies of F.A. Hayek and Ludwid Von Mises. I support Peter Schiff in the 2010 senate run in CT. I am Anti-Socialism and Pro-Freedom. I look forward to meeting all of you and learning from you as well.

Hi there,

I'm Deborah, and from reading the introductions, I've been in the GOP and working on elections, well lt us just say , your never to old to learn new things.

I am impressed by the free flow of information and opinions, that are expressed here.

I have spent the last 8 years trying to figure out, that as a conservative republican,
was I having an identity crisis, or was I a victum of identity theft.

But I can tell you one thing for sure, after just a few days, there are no card carring members of the RNC here. Guess that is why I sent mine back five years ago, with a note explaining my position on the Bush Administration. I'm still waiting for a reply .

The only problem is, I have to drag myself away, from reading all these
free, fresh, and exciting conversations.

Thanks for signing up Gary and welcome to the board! Best way to see what's hot at the moment is to use the "New Posts" feature, or of course if you are looking for commentary on a specific topic, the search function is usually good.

Welcome aboard!
