Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

I am aloysious and I was a member of the old Bill Maher board. Now a member of politicalgroove.com forums which has a few refugees from the old B.M. board.

BTW, I am aloysious over there, too.

In the manner of grown men and women identifying themselves by "handles," which I would have thought ridiculous less than a decade ago, I go by cheapseats. My message board path is the same as that described by aloysious, though I posted as litwit at Bill Maher.

I am moving around, in order to ascertain whether my countrymen are actually prepared to go with four more years of the time-honored combination lesser of two evils backflip/wait and double somersault. I cannot believe, I absolutely cannot believe that the American People are prepared to stand down and stand by while the same people who got us into this shit disappear behind closed doors and concoct self-serving, taxpayer-funded rescue schemes for the Rich & Conscienceless.

Hi.

My name is Ray Finch. I am a British Ron Paul supporter.
I was rather hoping I could let some of you know about the party I am a member of here and some of our policies.
Would it be ok if I put up a thread somewhere explaining what we are about and how similar the threats facing the UK and US are? Our 2 nations (almost) always stand together and I thought some of our transatlantic friends might like to know something of our struggle.
My party is UKIP.

thanks.

Welcome to the forums!!!

Always nice to have a lover of liberty from across the pond!

Thanks Kotin.
Your people and mine need to stick together and fight for each others liberty because without us the world is in a very bad way.
We need to stop the supranationalists. Self determination is where it's at baby (In an Austin Powers accent) :-)

Hi,

I'm a former liberal, still very active green, who believes in traditional values and responsible use of technology.

I am a member of CORRUPT and have voted both Democrat and Republican in the past, but now feel that Democrats are unable to achieve their goals with their methods, and Republicans are divided by special interests.

My ultimate political guides are Plato, Nietzsche and Pentti Linkola.

I like Ron Paul first and foremost because he is an honorable man, and secondarily but not less because his policies are realistic (in an unrealistic, a/k/a insane, modern world).

First Post!

Hey, fellow Paulites! I'm new to RonPaulForums.com, though I was involved throughout most of the recent campaign. I first heard about Ron Paul about three years ago or so, and immediately supported him for President when I heard he was entering the race last year. I got involved with two local meetup groups in the Middle Tennessee area. I wrote press releases for the Nashville Ron Paul Meetup group. It was great to be a part of something so special. Our finest hour was when we hosted a rally for Ron in Nashville attended by about 1600 people! After Christmas last year, my wife and I travelled to Davenport, Iowa to campaign for Dr. Paul ahead of the Iowa caucuses. Most recently I attended Ron Paul's Rally for the Republic, and I'm ready to go forward with the Campaign for Liberty!

I took the Red Pill!

I'm Carla a 42 year old mom of 4 who after 20 years of being a Democratic Sheep has taken The Red Pill! I have been blindly voting for whoever the MSM suggests might be my best choice, for entirely too long. In February of this year I began to take notice of Dr. Paul and his ideals fascinated me . I am in love with the freedoms that I took for granted for so long. Just when it looks like they are being taken away from me in every way. Better late than never? I dunno know about that.I carry a burden of guilt now for standing by and taking whatever the Government and Mainstream Media spoon fed me for so long. And being part of the destruction of our Government by supporting Tyrants due to my lack of knowledge.I had an awakening, and I feel it's now a mission to help wake up others to the atrocities our Government. And to let them know that we do have more than 2 choices.Ron Paul is my American Hero. I watch his speeches with eyes and ears wide open. I took my 18 yr old to The Rally For The Republic and it was the most wonderful experience, to watch him roar with enthusiasm throughout the entire Rally .Peace and Love To All, Carla;)

Hello there

I'm Michelle and I live in Santa Cruz, California. I'm of mixed ancestry - Shawnee American Indian and mixed European. I worked in high-tech overseas in Thailand for many years before I became a mother and decided to continue my education in the geological sciences.

I was an independent until I learned of Ron Paul's views. I strongly believe in our Constitution and am outraged that the supreme law of the land is not being upheld by either party. Because of my family, and the amount of travel I have done, I have an uncommon viewpoint. I'm watching this country being taken over once again. . . this time by weasels in Washington and Wall Street and by illegal immigrants. I see the poorest of the poor in this nation, living on reservations having to compete with chinese knock-offs and those who live off the reservation competing with labor jobs that illegal immigrants take. Many of my indian relatives and friends have fought in wars, some of them have died, protecting our freedoms, yet they are invisible to the public, unless someone talks about casinos or the history books.

One thing I can tell you is this... the standard of living is going to change drastically in this country, if this "billionaire bail out bill" is passed because it increases the deficit into the trillions of dollars. It will effectively make economic slaves of our children for generations. As someone who has seen the long-term impact of slavery and genocide, both here and in another country, I am fighting with all of my will. There are few people in politics I can say I believe are telling the truth. Ron Paul is one of them. David Walker, the former US Comptroller is another.

I think people had better pay attention and act now because there is a shift taking place and we are losing freedom little by little. Our children deserve better! I cannot underscore that enough.

Both parties have an invisible hand routing around in our pockets and are eroding our rights. Just the other day Sen. Feinstein replied to a letter I had written (and now I see it was a canned response to everyone) and she said something that deeply disturbs me . . . she referred to this money as 'government money' not taxpayer money. The popular media also deeply disturbs me because they are blatantly withholding information from people and obfuscating facts.

Watch your backs people because you or your children might just find yourselves in a third world country sooner than you think. I've lived in one and many of our reservations here in America, although largely invisible, are representative of the third world. If you don't believe me, take a road trip to the Pine Ridge reservation near Mt. Rushmore . . .

We just keep on coming!

I just want to say hello to everyone. I am in Atllanta, Ga & I am a long time supporter of the Good Doctor and I'm feed up with the crazies in DC. I am ready to fight with all I got for liberty! I have 2 teenage sons and I will not sit idle and watch their freedoms be stripped away without putting up a fight. I am appalled at the lack of repect for the Constitution by our elected officials.
Chris Dodd last night said something to the effect that passing the $700.00 bailout is exactly what the founding fathers would have done. Needless to say I was floored! And the numbers of people that heard that, and will believe him is astonishing!

I am thankful for Ron Paul and the hard work he and all those around him have done to educate the world.

Hi, I am a lifelong political junkie having worked in various capacities on several local, statewide, and Congressional campaigns. Currently I am working as a Senior Political Analyst at a public opinion/research and analysis firm based out of Indianapolis.

My philosophy is rooted and most influenced by authors from the Age of Enlightenment such as, Thomas Paine, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and John Locke.

It is great to be a part of the liberty movement. Look forward to working to save our beleaguered Republic.

Hello,

My name is Shaun and, for those of you who may remember, I was the creator of Ron Paul's old MySpace and what not (thumbnail still available on sirberus.com).

Anyways, long story short, I recently finished an art project dedicated to Ron Paul and I thought you might be interested--as a fellow Ron Paul supporter--in checking it out.

The flickr set can be found here:

And here is a preview:

Would love to hear your feedback! Feel free to be honest... it was a beginners ceramics class, however, I am hoping it survives the kiln so I can show Ron Paul himself =).

Sincerely,
Shaun Sanders

My name is Adam. I am a California escapee resettled in East Texas. I've been a musician for the past ten years, even owned a small recording studio, but i'm now beyond the confines of that existence. I've had a political awakening, thanks to the philosophies espoused so eloquently by Congressman Ron Paul.

My new direction in life takes me into politics, and continued education, where i plan on getting a degree in economics to start.

I intend to run for public office locally, in the hopes of being able to run for Congress before I'm 50.
