Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Hello everybody! My name is Dennis Rothacker and I live in beautiful Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I've been active with Dr. Paul's campaign now for just over a year and it has led into pursuing a career in politics. I'm currently a Committeeman in the Broward County Republican Executive Committee and was fortunate enough to get chosen as an Alternate to the National Convention in Minneapolis. I guess that's probably enough for now, as I like to keep introductions and goodbyes shoert and sweet. But please feel free to hit me up anytime. Also, check out my websites:

still working on this one, hope to have it finished soon...

Welcome Dennis and thanks for all your work

(and Ben, cool post)

Christopher (Fipher) D. Osborn

Hi. My name is Christopher David Osborn. I'm a 22 year old 2nd generation Unificationist who was a slightly confused independent before hearing about the
Nolan Chart and Ron Paul through YouTube. I now count myself as a Conservative Libertarian. On the Nolan Chart Quiz my personal issues score is 70% while my economic issues score is 100%. See here for my score.

I was born in Washington D.C. but moved to the town of Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard island off Cape Cod Massachusetts at 8 years old. For the past 19 moths, however, I've only spend about 3 months and three weeks in the U.S. The rest of it was spent in Norge, with a little bit of time spent in Germany and Sweden. I'll be in the U.S. on the Vineyard for the summer to earn some money since I can't yet legally work in Norge.

About being a Unificationist. While I did mean religiously, I'm also a political Unificationist in a sense. I agree with the concept of the U.N., E.U., and even the proposed American Union. I would like to see other similar organizations for Africa, Scandinavia (don't tell me Norwegian friends that.), the Pacific Rim. I would love to see China and Taiwan whole again, along with Korea, and several African countries which should never have been split apart by the colonialists. Both West Virginia and Tennessee, I hear, were once part of Virginia and may have been illegally separated because of the U.S. Civil War. I'm in favor the the Universal Peace Federation's goal of creating an international peace highway which would allow you to travel from London to New York, Cape Town to Tokyo, or Rio Gellegos to Moscow without leaving the ground. They also have an idea of creating an Interreligious Peace Council at the U.N. with equal authority with the Security Council.

The thing is, it should all be done with mutual consent and with the Philosophy of Liberty in mind. BTW, that flash movie should be mandatory in all public schools, accept for the fact that doing so would contradict the message it's trying to bring.

I'm married to Lisa Widenhofer. She's half Norwegian and half American, born in New York but raised in Norge since she was 3 years old, she seems to have a conservative mode of thought when it comes to personal issues, but a liberal one with economics. It's a struggle, but that's ok. Some day we'll move to America and she'll see how great the camparative freedom is.

For now I'm trying my darnedest to move to Norge, but the government there seems to think the amount of money my wife earns (as a student, rather little) is much more important than having several interviews with us to find out what good hard working people we are. Discriminating against the less than middle class, hmm.. not something you'd expect from a socialist country, but oh well. I think it'll work out. Her boss has been very nice in doing what he can do help us.

I know, shes American, why doesn't she move here? Well, in addition to some other things, she's in school to be a physical therapist and I'd like to get the language down well so I can speak the mother tongue of the children we'll have together some day.

My personal interests are in politics, technology, Dungeons & Dragons, fantasy literature (reading and writing it), religion, and music.

I have a nickname, Fipher, which I am slowly getting rid of accept for within certain circles(for reasons I've posted on my blog here), but that's why currently my blog is located at fipher.blogspot.com if you ever get bored or for some reason find my mixed up interests intriguing.

I can also be found at the Bones3d Message Boards sometimes, again under the name Fipher.

See you around the boards.

I'm ronpaul4ever2008 and I'd just like to tell about some disagreements I have with Paul's platform and what we can do to improve them for other candidates in the future.

1. Eliminating the Central Bank with the flip of a switch. Terrible idea and one which no reasonable economist agrees with.

2. Isolationist foreign policy. Very dangerous in today's world. The U.S. is so involved abroad that you can't just get out of everywhere and pretend like everything will be ok. Ho hum, everything will be fine because Ron Paul says so. That ain't realistic.

3. Repealing the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts. Ugh. 2 of the most important pieces of legislation ever passed in U.S. history and Paul wants to get rid of them both. Just think where we'd be if these hadn't passed in the 1960's. We've come a long way thanks to these 2 pieces of landmark legislation.

4. We the People Act. Drafted by Paul and touted by him as a good bill. It's hardly the case. This law overturns Texas v. Lawerence and makes it illegal for gays to have sex in the privacy of their own homes. Doesn't sound very libertarian to me. It also makes it illegal for atheists to hold office in states that had those laws before they were overturned in federal courts. Attention Ron Paul: Federal protection of civil liberties ARE A GOOD THING! Is Ron Paul a libertarian or a right wing lunatic?

E Komo Mai, I'm sure you will find some healthy debate concerning your unification position. Don't mind the hardasses and comedians, the ignore feature is helpful...

Welcome, interesting choice of name for a person who disagrees with RP's platform:confused:. Also, I would recommend you actually read his platform/reasoning before repeating much more false propaganda. ;)

"The Revolution; A manifesto" by Dr. Paul is as good a place as any to start.

Have fun

:)

Better late than never

I'm Pat, a 54 yr young woman, married to a big L libertarian who's a few yrs younger than me. (that was covered on another post, not going into it here.)

I was raised via the public school system and my family to be a socialist and darned near communist, but life on my own changed that. Plus reading REASON. I am now a centrist libertarian.

I have put a lot of effort and money into the campaign, traveled from Atlanta to Boston for various events (the Boston Tea Party was bitterly cold, but a blast, thanks Boston again for the warm hospitality)

I have three meetups, belong to statewide and nationwide meetups and the meetup alliance, plus a few more.

I'm an alternate delegate, declared for Ron Paul, to the national convention. I've been active in securing our delegates to the national convention from NC, but others have actually done the hard work, I just was involved in the process and keeping people pumped.

I'm on the executive committee of my district and on our local gop club.

I own my own business, my husband and I design fire protection sprinkler systems for other companies to install.

I have two boxers and an 18 yr old cat that I think will live forever.....

I've always loved to garden and do the organic, non gmo deal, right now I'm up to my armpits in sugar snap peas.

I'm not a computer geek, but I seem to spend an aweful lot of time in front of this screen.....

Hi

Hi, My name is Jonney. I'm 26yo from Melbourne, Victoria in Australia. I like Ron because he is consistently principled and always truthful. I believe he represents hope, not only for the US, but also for world peace. For this reason it is equally important that freedom-loving people all over the world get behind him. This is not just about the US. This is about world peace.

Thanks.

Forgot to do the standard introduction....

I'm Cindy, a registered Independent (formerly registered Republican), living in Central Pennsylvania. Ron Paul is the candidate I've been looking for all of my life, though granted, I'm only 29 years old!

I have a B.A. in History.

I have three dachshunds.

We all support Ron Paul!

Whoa, I don't think I've ever gotten around to actually posting in this thread.

I am Yongrel, and I juggle.

Hello. My name is <redacted> and I'm a Pauloholic.

(Seriously, I don't disclose personal info except that which is heavily filtered through enough layers of protection and BS to make NSA jealous. The PTB who operate RPF know where I am.)

I spent over 10 years in a US armed force as a cryptologist, programmer and analyst, and held (note the past tense) the appropriate security clearances for the work. Today, I am currently toiling as a writer, programmer, amateur astronomer, raconteur and wiseacre on an Internet near you. If you've ever bought any high-end home entertainment and speciality items from Sony, RCA, Klipsch, Uniden or RadioShack, you've probably used one of my products.

I once woke Ronald Reagan up from a sound sleep to warn him of an air attack on US military assets somewhere in the Middle East, I was the third runner-up to become a Mission Specialist on a particular Space Shuttle mission (the guy who actually flew was way better than me), and I've set foot on every continent except Antarctica.

One thing I do not BS about is Ron Paul. He speaks for me and represents a crying need for more transparency in government and a return to Constitutional principles. He has my support and affection, and I will do whatever I can to get him into a position of real responsibility in Washington DC.

Wuzz Up! My name is Clarence Miller, better known as Raditude.

I am 21 years old, and kind of a modern-day hippie wishing for a true Utopian-Anarchist Society. I know that it's virtually impossible, so I'll support the next best thing: Ron Paul!

I am a practicing Christian, so by default that makes me a conservative, but I also have ideas that many think are liberal, and disagree with.

I partake in Cannabis, and have many friends who do. One of those friends told me about Ron Paul, and I've been a supporter ever since.

I support Ron Paul on almost all of the issues:

Privacy
Illegal Immigration/Closed Borders and Security
Free Trade
Abolishing The IRS
Reformatting the FDA (legalizing Cannabis)
Pro-Life
Supporting our veterans
Most of his foreign policy.

While I support his basic fundamentals for foreign policy I do think we need to finish things in Iraq. Some of the soldiers I spoke to say that they are there to keep the enemy occupied so they aren't over here bombing us again. Hopefully we'll be able to make peace soon.

^ You listen to the same music I tend to listen to. Esp. Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rammstien, Kill Switch Engage, Slipknot, Lacuna Coil and Black Label Society - I saw them in concert at Ozzfest. And my personal favorite, Dimmu Borgir. I too am a Christian - we tend to get bashed here, just ignore it and be friendly to everyone.

Welcome to the boards, everyone. :D

Hey thanks. Glad to meet people with similar interests.

A little persecution will only make us stronger.

Hi, I'm Stephen from Yuba City, CA. After long speculation of current events, research, I have come to the conclusion that Ron Paul is the man for this country. After reading his book and doing extensive research on his views, policies, and remedies there is unequivocal evidence that there are more problems in this country that need to be considered and restored through legitimate means. It's about time this regime for a new world order be put to an end and finally give everyone a chance to live life and evolve naturally without being intruded by the fallacies of big government policy and totalitarian control. I'm definitely marking Ron Paul on my voting ticket.

Hey everyone..

I'm John from Florida, 26, a recent graduate in Political Science with various minors in history, econ, and international studies. I'm not exactly a utopian, but I think things could be a whole lot better.

I think the U.S. constitution provides the best legal framework for a delineation of political powers, I think Ron Paul is the one who really understands how this interaction should function.

Machiavelli made me a libertarian - Marx made me a capitalist - Bush made me a rabid anti-federalist - and Ron Paul gave me hope for the future

Introduction

Greetings to all

Dr. Paul withdraws from the race, and I question my timing for introduction.

Fortunately the focus is on the principles, not the person. This may be an advantage. The principles can not be as easily discounted and smeared as a personality.

I am Jerold living in Wisconsin. (age 60 something) The premise of my life is; I have the right to live for my own sake (rationally) as do all others. Very simple.

The culture, politics and the prevailing philosophy of this country and world, do not reinforce this position. The Constitution of the united states of America does, but is ignored and undermined by the powers that be. It is time to discover what were intended to be.

Our founding fathers are probably spinning in their graves, with enough energy, I suspect, to solve our fuel problems if we tapped into them.

Beware to illusion of freedom
Beware to freedom of illusion

Your timing is fine as this is the beginning of the next phase of hopefully great things to come.
