Impure thoughts, or "Lame, you're no longer welcome in the r3volution."

Anti Federalist -

Are you so fastened in your views that even if you see successes either locally, or elsewhere which could serve as examples for you, examples of good people literally transforming the GOP, will you never be willing to work with or within that organization?

Yup.

It's like throwing a new transmission in a car with a blown engine, rusted out frame and no windows.

Good money after bad.

Those good people and the successes they might have will be negated at the national level by a party that is part of a larger whole.

A larger whole that comprises a "system" that is pursuing an agenda that is counter to freedom and liberty. This system, if nothing else, is very very effective at rooting out dissent and "reform".

You'd have better luck trying to "reform" cancer. No, you do what you would do with that disease as well, cut it out and destroy it.

Hopefully, the rest of us can hold back the tides so you and your little island don't get washed away. We'll continue to check in from time to time to get your views on our progress. I'm sure you'll let us know when things aren't going well.

I hope you never feel vindicated...

All my following assumptions could be wrong. If so, I stand corrected.

My assumption is that you're anarcho-capitalist.

My guess is that you don't see any value in the compromises necessary to bring about gradual change to that end.

So if I'm right, if society were suddenly re-ordered to be compatible with the system you'd prefer, do you think that the vacuum of power and familiarity with the system would create a popular backlash and people who latch on to whatever promised to restore 'order'? Or do you think that all would be well and there would be little desire to fill the power vacuum, or little temptation to try and be the group who fills it?

In short, are you at all concerned that the uncertainty and possible temporary confusion of abrupt change would vindicate the statists and in their minds bolster their arguments for it?
