Barr, a "true libertarian" advocating government intervention in the Fannie Mae subprime mess. Yes Bob, you're right, I don't own a home, but I, and every other citizen in the united states should pay for this mess that the government and these crooked brokers created with more bail-outs, clearly that is the libertarian thing to do, and to say. In a real free market system it should only be the investors and the company that takes the hit, but no, in this case you still have execs walking away with millions in golden parachutes, and YOU, YOU will pay for it. Bob Barr is of course in agreement as any good big government neocon, patriot act traitor would be.

If Bob Barr makes it into the prime-time televised debates with the McBamas, the impact of that would be huge! Tee vee is the ultimate reality filter for most of this country, and those 20+ million voters (not counting the non-voters) who score "libertarian" on the Nolan Chart will finally have a viable political identity they can recognize!

I will vote for BARR and my wife will to and many others in Colorado, as most have said writing in Ron Paul is a waste, unless Ron Paul actually runs. I will be supporting the LP and Barr and i still say if we want the movement to be bigger, Ron Paul and US better do something like unify the movement with the lp/cp/republicans/dems and independents.... Sept 2nd CFL ,better be something BIG, LIKE UNIFYING the movement by joining the cp/lp and ron paul republicans and dems and independents which would easily pass the 20% mark if they let go of their egos for the movement which is bigger then the lp/cp itself.... importance 0? or are you talking the fm???. barr in the debates will be huge ,look if it wasn't for a 3rd party candidate harry browne many years ago. i would of never listened to Ron Paul ,so i truly think barr being in the debates will open many eyes and never say never on poll numbers ,if we get barr into the debates, then many more people will have their eyes opened and all the folks that feel they have no voice will be energized, never say never, so i assume you meant 0 on the fm subject and not the debates. Barr is gonna hand obama and mccain their asses on a silver platter in a debate ,will be great ,let's get barrr in the debate or unify the parties under a new platform , we must do something!!!

Specialty..I agree with you! My mother, who is determined to vote for MccAin..ONLY to block Obama, watched Bob Barr's interview on Cspan with me. She said "I'd really like to see him in the debates". I'm telling ya'll on this thread..Bob Barr RESONATES with those conservatives who do not like MCCAIN because my mom is ONE OF THEM..she's 71 years old. They don't think like us...Bob Barr's being in the CIA , and pushing Clinton's impeachment, and his dealings with the Patriot act etc...MEANS SOMETHING to those people!!! They consider that an ACCOMPLISHMENT..and they have respect for it. You MUST realize what audience you are targeting. Once you get them to listen to him...THEN we gently pull them over to our way of thinking. For just a moment lets focus on the present and whats right around the corner:
-Barr supporters want to see him get 10% in the polls nationally
-so he can participate in debates with McBama.
-For the run of his present campagin, Barr HAS been preaching Libertarian ideals.
-Therefor he would not just flip-flop in a debate with McBama, but would counter their big government statist ideas with Libertarian ones.

Don't you want average Americans to learn that there is an alternative to runaway spending, high taxes, crazy interventionist foreign policy, etc? Stop trying to preemptively crap all over Barr, support him getting into the debates and see what you think of him then. There is value in opening up the two party system up to a third party.

Joseph, I'm sorry, but you really are a complete moron for wanting to write in Paul and for not seeing the opportunity of SPREADING OUR MESSAGE if Barr makes the debates.

EDIT: I don't like Barr too much for his voting record but that's completely irrelevant because he will not win the election. All that matters is the debates and even if he's lying about it, talking about libertarian views on those debates will wake up MANY people to the philosophy of freedom. That's the only reason I support him.
