But I can't say the same about some of the "supporters" I've met on this board. The apologist kind that can't accept a little honest criticism about Ron Paul's official campaign.

Calling people trolls or liberals because you disagree with them is childish. Telling them they should vote for Obama or Giuliani instead is counterproductive. Ignoring the problems with Ron Paul's campaign doesn't help Ron Paul.

It took watching this to get some perspective. You ronpaulforums.com people were not helpful.

Maybe your criticisms would be better received if 97% of your posts didn't involve harping about one particular problem you have with the wording of a 30-second advertisement and the other 3% weren't about how much you dislike the people on this forum.

Maybe if my concerns had been addressed instead of being personally attacked I wouldn't have felt the need to post in different sections of the forum.

Your concerns were addressed and shown to be totally overblown. You just ignored it and kept on spamming the board with multiple threads about the same pointless issue, long after everyone else who was initially concerned got over it and moved on.

If people called you a troll, it's because you have come across as one.

Now, hopefully you've gotten it out of your system and can move on to doing something productive to get Ron elected. If you need suggestions for practical actions you can take in your area, please don't hesitate to ask.

I assume you are a member of your local meetup group? I assume you are a registered Republican and are ready to participate in the electoral process?

I, and many others, have addressed your concerns without personally attacking you.
Stop trying to stir things up.

No, I was called a troll and a fake supporter right from the start.

There's open primaries where I live so I don't need to choose a label until I vote for Ron Paul. I am registered, however.

By a handful of people. Many others addressed your concerns, but you ignored the posts with substance and focused on the meaningless posts, which kept the conflict at a boil.

In any event, that's all over now and it's behind us. Sorry your feelings were hurt, but this can be a rough and tumble place. There are lots of conflicting points of view here, and people are going to disagree with you from time to time. Some of them will even call you names.

We're brewing up Liberty here, and you know what they say about the heat in the kitchen...

Well, I don't think of registering as a Republican to vote for Ron as "choosing a label"; I view it as a practical step toward securing the nomination.

It's good that you're aware of the primary requirements in your state. I do suggest that you look into the delegate selection process for your state and see how you can help there.

If you want, you can tell us what state you're in and we can point you in the right direction.

Dude, quit whining. No one owes you anything. If you ask a question you aren't OWED an answer. No one owes you a response to your inquiry. No one here is paid to try and convince you Paul is the best candidate for president in the last 2 centuries. If it isn't blatantly obvious I suggest you don't vote, because you haven't done the proper homework.

That may be the case to some extent.

I see it as both.

Washington. What does it involve?

Jim, don't sweat it. Eaglescout and the rest of us are going to put this embarrassing episode behind us and move on.

Let's focus on getting Ron elected.

I don't think I'm owed an answer. I was shocked to see how ignorant some of you are. And the ad itself didn't help.

Great video.

Eaglescout, in the heat of argument, sometimes things get out of hand on a tough issue with many passionate supporters around:) I'm glad you see the big picture also.

What we need in Washington is for people to become Precinct Officers. The official deadline was December 14th, but they have been desperate for PCOs, and so there may be a way to still get in at this point. That would involve contacting the Party officials for your county. You can find the contact info here:
http://www.wsrp.org/About/Default.aspx?SectionID=115

If you can't get in as a PCO, you need to at least attend your precinct caucus on Saturday, February 9th at 1:00pm. Visit this page: http://exordia.net/ronpaul08/ and sign up on their announcement list, and they will notify you as soon as the location for your precinct caucus becomes available.

This information and much more can be found on the campaign's official Washington page:
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/washington/

You should check it frequently for updates or subscribe to the RSS feed to keep up to date on new developments.

The email for the Washington State Coordinator, Maureen McMahon Moore, is [email protected]

Hope that helps. Welcome to the Revolution.

Yeah, some of the comments really got me going, but I was antagonistic, too.

Thanks. I'll see what I can do.

Let's all realize that there is a wide range of opinions among the people who support Ron Paul. Debating and explaining why you believe you are right is fine and should be done. Beating someone over the head with your views only makes people angry at you or repulsed by you.

It takes time for people to see something in a new way. I would guess that all of us a wrong about something.

It is better to convince someone than to prove he is wrong.

Look at the way Ron Paul discusses things with people. His views are often far from what is considered mainstream, but he is able to get people to consider them, where others would not be able to convince anyone.

There is a lot of passion, which means a lot of heat. This isn't a sport for those with thin skins (nor, ideally, those with hair-trigger mouths).

Personally, I sorta like the idea of 1) shutting down entry from places we've been antagonizing for decades 2) stop antagonizing them 3) wait for tempers to settle down and 4) show that this is a real change and not a feint then 4) opening up rational travel again.

Now, my thoughts on this aren't particularly researched, so they may not be perfect, and there may be people who are unfairly harmed by this, but it has the advantage of not involving bombing or subsidizing anyone, so the harm would seem to me to be on a much smaller scale than our current track, and therefore an improvement.

eaglescout,

I apologize for calling you a troll.

Now, let's move forward, put this commercial behind us, and concentrate on the job at hand!
