If war started between Turkey and Israel, which side should US take?

There could be some bizarre (if exceedingly improbable) scenarios. The NATO treaty would require the US to support Turkey but suppose Israel then attacks Iran, and Iran declares war on Israel. The US could end up both in a defacto alliance with Iran while Iran is being attacked by the US at the same time.
