Idea On How You Recruit Arabs To Rp

Like it or not, we're playing within a confined system. We have to be smart and know how to work it, just the neo-cons did… the only difference is we at least we have integrity.

I have a few Arab friends (Christian Lebanese) and I must say, your ad is perfect for them.

I'm going to be looking for some politically oriented Arab-American forums and myspace/facebook groups to redistribute the ad.

I have many dealings with Muslims and a couple of good friends who are Muslim. You need to make sure they know that RP will quit funding Israel. It is very important to most of them.

An update on my attempt to contact Muslims in Iowa. I have a good friend and business associate who is Shia Muslim from Iran/Pakistan and he is either going to try and contact some of the Centers or give me a letter of introduction. He is a Syed and so is one of the leaders of the Ames Mosque so hopefully that will help.

BTW: Today was the first time he had heard of RP and the thing that got his attention was the stance on ending aid to Israel.

First...you have to start with Israel and its barbaric tteatment of arabs. This is their HOT BUTTON. "Non interventionism" talk will get you nowhere...They do not trust politicians and they feel that white america hates them. If you can boldly confront the Israel issue and the fact that the Israel lobby doesnt give one penny to RP....you'll craxck the ice.

Then, and only then, will they listen to the anti war pitch.

Next in order of importance...AND THIS IS HUGE....these people know more about the PATRIOT ACT than 90% of americans do...It's sad...they really are afraid...

If you can get in...you'll find that they are warm and intelligent people who know how to network.

One more thing...they are a little touchy about illegals being deported. So if it comes up, stress that although RP opposes amnesty and illegal immigration....he does not favor deportation (except for criminals)..

Know your stuff...dont try to wiggle if you dont have all the answers...These foljks are very skeptical of politicians and white bread america that demonizes them. Be genuine and stick to the basics.

Also might want to include that RP is against Quantanomo and will respect Habeus Corpus. There are many Muslims being held there right now with no access to lawyers or the Court system.

1.) It is okay to mention Israel once but the fact is that if the average person gets their hands on your original post, they will see it as anti-semetic. I don't care if it is or not, that is what will happen.

2.) The Media literally dictates what people think in this country. We must accept the rules of the game and play by them. We're already fighting an uphill battle, so why make it any more difficult for us? Please refrain from using "zionist" and other inflammatory words. You will drive away more voters than you attract. You can stress that Ron Paul will stop meddling in the middle east without using language which could jeopardize this campaign

A: They are mostly good hard working AMERICANS
B. They are experienced networkers with many affluent businessmen and professionals among their ranks.
C. They are a decent size segment of the population

If they ever got organized and energized as a group, they would have a huge impact in terms of funding and volunteering...

If you want to exclude people that the media deems "undesirable"...trust me, by the end of this thing, you won't have anybody in this campaign....That's how bad the media barrage is going to get..

This message board doesn't have any PR experts, I gather. Not to make it look like I am one, but come one, it's like we're actually helping our detractors.

First, RP says we deserved 9/11 (he didn't but it will be spun that way)
Now, he's trying to approach Arabs (All Arabs /= Moslems, but to whitebread America, that don't mean squat) by promising to cut off any help to Israel nation. Remember, we need to support them because God will get angry if we don't.

In a way, it was unnecesarilly offensive.
In a way, though, it was offensive on purpose to bring the point across, to e-smack the thread starter and wake him up.

Plus I would bet (this is not scientific) that the average Muslim is way more wealthy than the average American, and saves more than the average American. On top of that they are highly networked. (All of this is from experience) there are 6 million Muslims in the US, do you know what kind of fund raising that is? If the Muslim community got behind RP and donated you could see fund raising skyrocket.

Just my thoughts, I already have plans to go after this demographic, I will keep you updated.

I guess as long it's your own personal agenda and not that of official Ron Paul campaign. Plus you apparently missed my point that if they were some kind of as source of a huge vacuum of power, the other candidates would be all over them and taking advantage of their networkability.

I'm really afraid we'll be so busy chasing Allah vote, we'll lose Jesus vote in progress. And believe me, Jesus vote is infinitely more relevant. Have you seen the recent cover of Newsweek?
