Yes. i will vote against him by voting for democrat this election, be it obama or hillary. To me, a McCain presidency means an acceleration of the war in iraq and a continuation of bush tax cut for the rich. To my horror, a recent poll show that McCain beat Obama or Hillary by a few percentage point on a presidential election match-up (see http://sify.com/news/fullstory.php?id=14611953). Our country seriously cannot sustain another Bush-like administration. No matter how much you abhor the democratic party's big government ideas, i rather have the money spent on the americans than on a stupid war that is not making america any safe. i am just wondering how many here feel like i do. If you love RP because you love this country, i seriously cannot see how you can sit by and let a possible McCain presidency happen!!!

I won't vote AGAINST anyone. I will vote for the person I believe will best lead our country out of this mess and that's not McCrazy, Obamalama, or Hitlery. I will write in Dr. Ron Paul or cast a vote for a 3rd party candidate endorsed by Dr. Ron Paul. And that's that.

i respect your decision. Many RP people echos this. But i just cannot convince myself how such a vote will alter the outcome of the election.

Jesus man, just go to the Obama forums already and be with your brethren. You're annoying the hell out of the real supporters here.

Do you really think you're going to persuade us with your constant pimping?

You appear to be a "fad" voter. It was "cool" to be supporting RP a while back and be a part of a "revolution" but when things look bad for our guy, you go to the "cool" candidate. Just go already. 95% of your posts are about Obama.

are you telling me you cannot read!! this thread is anti-McCain not pro-obama! You hate obama so much that you see obama in every thread? tell me where's the pro-obama in this thread!

I understand how you feel but, in the same line of thinking your one vote would not seriously alter obama/clinton's chances either. now, if you and everyone else who is on the fence about voting for a 3rd party, voted for a 3rd party, then perhaps we would have a poly-party system rather than a bi-party system.

I seriously doubt that mccain has much of a chance in novemeber anyway because as Ralph Nader put it: if the Dems. don't win this one they might as well pack up shop, meaning this election is theirs to lose.

No, I can certainly read AND reason--you have stated many times that you're going to vote Obama in other threads. Now you say you're voting "Democrat." Gee, wonder who that is?

You keep pushing your not-so-subtle agenda: Vote Democrat--especially Obama!

yes, your one vote is negligble in the whole scheme of things. the hundred year old wisdom about why your vote will not matter and you should just sit home. and this is the reason why i never voted. The reason why i decided to be different this year because i have reach a threshold where i can no longer tolerate the direction this country is heading with the war and upcoming economic recession.

yes.. i am trying to convince myself my vote is important.. even though my vote will be neglible to the outcome, but it does get counted into the outcome. with one vote is nothing. but collectively is more something. and that collective power if multiplied if your candidate is the front runner. that is why i think it is important to see what other people here are thinking... third party candidate.. i am open to this idea. but can he propel to front runner status to have a decent chance of winning? that will be the question i need to answer before i will cast my vote for him. you should know what i mean.

yeah.. not so subtle agenda and yet i stated explicitly my preference for obama... you go figure that out. i have nothing to hide. i speak my mind. i dislike the republican nominee's position on the war. i want to stop him from ruining america. is it wrong to say all these? agenda? i have a freaking job as a scientist. i not working for anyone of the candidate. agenda? yes the only agenda i have is to vote the lesser of evil this election. i tell you my agenda. VOTE FOR LESSER of the EVIL.

And now is my time to speculate your agenda. So you anti-obama. So probaly your agenda is to let McCain wins! Yes! this is your agenda! you swallow it!

uhh no? I will vote for the liberty candidate or I will not vote at all. The idea of voting against someone to spite them or thier party is incredibly juvenile and will not help our country.

+1000

Gtfo.

If you no longer are supporting Paul you have no reason to be here.

I will cast my vote for the third party candidate that's on the ballot and most reflects my core views. I will NOT vote the "lesser of 3 evils". Been there, done that, not doing it again. I personally don't think a write in is viable because the results won't even be reported. :( Sure Ron Paul fans will dig this up, post the results on a website somewhere and claim all of the write ins are really for Dr. Paul. But frankly if someone else has the guts to stand up as a third party candidate I'm supporting him or her. Mike Bloomberg is out because he doesn't reflect my core views.

(That said. I hope Ron Paul announces a third party run after he secures the nomination for congress.)

I have already posted in many, many other threads that I am vehemently anti-unjust wars. Your implication is absolutely baseless. I would never vote for that war-mongering, insane ass.

Your ability to speculate is obviously seriously flawed. What kind of scientist are you? I'm really, really curious for many reasons.

So it's not "pro Obama". It's "pro Obama and pro Hillary".

Also nobody who saying they won't vote for Obama is saying that because they are pro war. We just don't truly believe Obama and Hillary are ANTI war! Now that you've put Hillary in the mix you don't have much of a leg to stand on. Hillary voted for the war. And I don't believe her stupid "I didn't have enough information" excuse. Ron Paul had enough info. I myself knew the WMD case was bogus from the whole "forged Niger uranium" document. (If you have solid proof, why do you need to resort to bad forgeries?)

The bottom line is this. Obama and Hillary BOTH declined to promise to be out by 2013. Now they've changed their minds (without admitting its a change) and are saying 2009. John McCain has changed his mind too. He's backing away from his "100 year" statement. So why trust ANY of these people? They're all proven liars. I think there is a SLIGHTLY better chance that Obama or Hillary might get us out of Iraq sooner simply because there will be so much pressure on them by the constituents. But that won't stopping them from starting the next illegal war (which in my opinion will be in Sudan over the Darfur OIL crises.) But I'm not willing to violate my own principles and vote for one of them on the off this happening. If you're fine with that then cool. That's you business. But don't imply that other people "want McCain" just because they want to be able to look themselves in the mirror after they vote in November. Four years from now when our country has gone to hell I want to be able to tell my children that I did NOT vote for Hillary, McCain or Obama. Besides, the democrats will most likely win overwhelmingly without the Paul vote.

John M. Drake
