I Was Waiting Till After Super Tuesday To Post This..

Ron has spent 30 yrs "yelling into the darkness" essentially, and over the last 12 months his voice has now been joined by hundreds of thousands of other voices.

That's a very encouraging reminder, thanks!

I'm not sure if I should admit it or not, but this thread made me cry. ;)

I, too, have known about Ron Paul for some time. My husband and I became constitutionalists in late 1994, when we started to get more educated about things going on.

I heard about Ron Paul soon after he got back in Congress in January 1997. Through the years, we were aware of the things he was doing in Congress--at least, of legislation he was sponsoring or opposing. Then there was the Liberty Committee/Liberty Caucus. Some members of the House, including Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo, organized and determined that they would monitor legislation that had a negative or positive effect on liberty, and give the public the option to be informed about it. You could sign up for email alerts, and I was on that list. Because of that and other things, I'm absolutely certain we would be even less free than we are now without the efforts of Ron Paul.

I always thought Ron Paul would be a great presidential candidate. One problem with the "Patriot Movement"/those concerned about freedom is that they haven't been very united. There's the Libertarian Party (where it's my impression that you have to agree on every issue or you aren't a "true" libertarian), the Constitution Party, and various other groups. And all of them together have been only a small % of the population.

But individuals in all of those groups had respect for Ron Paul. I thought he would be a candidate that they could unite behind, because of that. What I did not know, was that he could unite not only those, but Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and people who didn't vote at all. I also did not know that he could not only bring together not only people who already agreed with him, but to wake up people who didn't believe in (or didn't know they believed in) those principles.

I was glad when I found, in late March of 2007, that he was entering the presidential race. But I didn't know how quickly I would become addicted to watching youtube videos of him, how much I would learn about him and his message that I did not already know, or all of the amazing things I would see happen as a result of his candidacy.

Whatever happens from this point on, I think it has to be the start of something bigger.

Just think, even if he ends up back in the House, instead of the White House, how we can mess with Congress. :D Their nightmare has just begun. Remember how we united in sending emails, phone calls, etc.. That was just practice. ;) This election is not only about becoming united behind Ron Paul and his message, it is learning what we can do together.

Ron Paul has enlightened me to the greatest Platform possible and he is undoubtedly the greatest messenger. Every day he remains in the race, he is doing a great service of spreading the message of Liberty.

It took me so much of time to find him and understand the message - I can sympathise with people who either do not know about him or get scared with the simple message - but I am hopeful that people will come around - they need the time.

Messanger should continue and Message be spread!
