I and a few of my fellow liberty group members attended a RFK Jr. for President Meetup this past Saturday. There was an equal mix of Republicans and Democrats, all of who are disgusted with Trump and Biden/now Harris.

The coordinator is a Ron Paul libertarian so we hit it off immediately. She is 1 year new to the political process, and because I have prior experience, she allowed me to more or less co-head the meeting.

After the details of getting RFK elected were sorted out I quickly switched gears and spoke about the root cause of many of the problems, and short of eliminating/fully defunding, no politician/government will ever solve them without implementing more wrongful government "solutions".

Various topics came up such as Operation Warp Speed and the transfer of wealth to the upper 1% under Trump, the government-funded immigration problem to enrich government contractors, inflation, healthcare costs and the growing police-state apparatus. I believe that I did a fairly good job of explaining how BOTH parties are contributory to the mess that we are in, bought and paid for by the lobbyists, and used some of RFK Jr.'s platform to highlight some of my points. I did go on to explain libertarian principles/solutions, and that while Trump and Harris are big-government shills, RFK Jr. is indeed on the right track about some issues, but perhaps more thought should be put into a few of his solutions. Admittedly, my objective was to try to introduce libertarian principles and self-reliance, which surprisingly seemed to go over pretty well.

A couple of points that I will share: the Republicans who are disgusted with Trump knew some his record, but due to silent media were unaware of most of his record and were very appreciative that I provided that information. The Democrats who are likewise disgusted with the last 4 years under Biden knew some of his record, but unaware of all of the spending and policies that were carried over. As I discussed libertarian principles, I was happy to see that both Republicans and Democrats were very interested in what I had to say and want to attend our liberty group meetings.

After the meetup was concluded we all shared contact information, and I also introduced them to Mises.org and Ron Paul Liberty Report and gave out the following link:

Get Your Free Book: "What Has Government Done to Our Money?" ~ by Murray N. Rothbard

Though I found out about this meetup only hours before it was held, there are more meetups scheduled which I plan to attend and will be better prepared.

Sounds pretty awesome. It's surprising that the other guy with the Anarchy symbol is one of the people going out stumping for real solutions as opposed to just taking whatever crumbs Trump throws out there.

I had a really surprising conversation at a 6th birthday party Saturday, too. There's a normally really quiet guy I know who is a Marine officer, who was talking about the visceral reaction he had to the left being against Iraq (he's one of them who put his money where his mouth was and joined), and how that is totally dialed back in the other direction now. Turns out he's one of the few people I've met who has already read War is a Racket. But this guy was going off for an hour on all the connections the deep state has with each other - learned a few things, too, like how Epstein had zero qualifications to be a hedge fund manager but both he and Maxwell were known intelligence assets.

But what made me think of this, is that there was another friend of mine who said "Did you hear Trump is trying to get rid of taxes on tips?" I blurted out "Yeah right, we already had that..." and she says "No, it's ridiculous because come on, we're all here talking about END THE FED and this is what he thinks is going to make us happy". And everyone in the room just nodded in agreement. I thought holy cow, in almost no time we've gone from nobody even knowing what the Fed is, to being at a random kid's birthday party and having the room full of people who are all on board with killing it.
