I swear to God...

"Nevada is the only state where casino-style gambling is legal statewide. Both state and local governments impose licensing and zoning restrictions. All other states that allow casino-style gambling restrict it to small geographic areas (e.g., Atlantic City, New Jersey or Tunica, Mississippi), or to Native American reservations, some of which are located in or near large cities."

"There are 28 Indian casinos operating in Washington and they all have compacts with the state allowing them to offer table games, as well as electronic ‘scratch’ ticket games which use a finite number of tickets with a predetermined number of winners and losers."

Indian Casinos are in many states. What's so special?

And then it says Card Rooms are legal, as they are here in California, which are not real "casinos." If they were, people wouldn't drive 100 miles to a good Indian Casino.

I don't see where it says they are all indian casino's? Also there are towns in nevada that do not allow gambling. Trying to find a good source to link you since wikipedia is the worst source that you could ever use on the internet.

It would be good if they went for Paul, but it's still a state infested with liberals and hipster types.

I don't know about anywhere else, but gambling's legal in Montana... For fucks sake, there's a FUNERAL HOME WITH A VIDEO POKER MACHINE IN HELENA.

Anywhere in the Northwest is good, although Oregon is the best:p

The state of Jefferson WILL rise again!

4.5% of the total state population voted for him in New Hampshire, no other state has come close so far.

I have the 2008 results.. Check it out. This is sorted by the % pop for Ron Paul. I had my eye on Montana since I was in my early 20's =)

??????????????? Nevada is the only state that casinos are legal outside of special areas like Atlantic City and Indian lands.

What? I have a casino 3 min away from and Im in the Poconos PA. Casinos are all over the place now.

"Nevada is the only state where casino-style gambling is legal statewide. Both state and local governments impose licensing and zoning restrictions. All other states that allow casino-style gambling restrict it to small geographic areas (e.g., Atlantic City, New Jersey or Tunica, Mississippi), or to Native American reservations, some of which are located in or near large cities."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_in_the_United_States#Legal_issues

they're legal in ohio now....

What kind of craps tables to the Indian casinos have? Field bets only? lol

You have all the same bets available. The Indian craps are decided by the flip of two cards out of a 36 card deck. You still roll the dice (a blue and red dice). Which ever dice is higher, blue or red, determines what color card is turned over. The cards have pictures of dice pairs on them. They go by the values on the cards. They try to say the odds are the same but they really are not as it takes out the randomness of someone on a hot rolling streak. I played once and swore I would never play indian craps again when craps was "rolled" seven times in a row right after the point was set. The seventh time....thinking it could not happen again I bet heavier....bam. Craps again. Everyone at the table walked away after that.

Is there a reason why they do this instead of regular craps?

Is there a reason why they do this instead of regular craps?

Because the indians have to comply with existing California gambling laws. One of the laws is that dice cannot determine the outcome of a game. Basically we have what is called parimutuel gaming laws in CA. The house has a predetermined take on any bet and they are not interested in someone losing or winning. Like the lottery and horse racing the percentage to the house is predetermined. Things have become more relaxed and it is not entirely just parimutuel but they have made it so the published odds are more precise.
