Started a job with a new company recently. It's a small company but they do offer to pay for my insurance; but not for my family.
At first, I set out looking at the exchange but learned my premiums (for essentially no coverage at all) was $12,800 per year. Pretty steep, as I don't think we've ever spent $12k on healthcare in a year ever.
Then, of course, thinking about how opposed I am to the whole idea of forced insurance buy-ins and paying for coverage to which I am morally opposed, I told my employer "Thanks, but no thanks."
We are now depositing that money safely away for healthcare expenses and I will not be buying coverage through the exchange.
I am a resister.
