I've asked you this before, but here goes.
If a flood caused the burial and subsequent fossilization of animals and plants, then why are the fossils arranged in layers that correspond to eras in time? Or if you don't accept that the layers correspond to time periods, then why are they in layers at all? I mean, how did a chaotic flood bury "primitive" looking animals in very "old" layers of rock and then more "modern" looking animals in "younger" layers of rock? Why is it that you never find a primate fossil in the same layer as a ton of trilobite fossils?
How did the great flood sort all of the fossils into these layers?
People use the Cambrian Explosion to somehow justify the notion that complex life "arose suddenly" on the Earth and somehow this is evidence of an intelligent designer. I really don't see the logic there, but even creationists will accept the evidence from the fossil record of the Cambrian Explosion. In certain layers of rock (Cambrian), that are dated to be very old (>500 my) you find very "primitive" animals and absolutely no "modern" animals. You don't find dinosaurs or mammals or birds (hell, you don't even find reptiles or amphibians), just animals that were alive 500 mya.
How is it that you find NO dinosaurs after the Cretaceous-Tertiary Boundary? (That's a boundary in layers of rock, btw.) How did the great flood do this?
Did god do it that way to fool us?
And again, there is not enough water on the planet to submerge the continents. Even if all the ice melted, there would still be plenty of continent left to go before covering them.
