Huffington Post Not Reacting Well To Gun Bill Defeat

I don't know where this 90% figure come from, but I think it doesn't matter anyway.

Just because a majority of the people think something is a good idea (or law) doesn't mean it is, and most certainly doesn't make it constitutional.

I was reading that site last night. I think they were under the impression that it was a pretty common sense bill that had a lot of stuff that conservatives would support anyway. Things like mandatory reciprocity for concealed carry permits. So I think there was a big disconnect between what they thought was in the bill and what we thought was in the bill.

THOSE DAMN OBSTRUCTIONIST REPUGS!!!! (even though it is a Dem controlled senate and their leader voted no)

I read that based on the rules, you can't bring a bill to the floor again if you voted with the majority side, so that's why Reid voted no. Probably also so that his ranking will go up in gun rights polls and polls that show how often you split from your party and vote against them.

So PuffHo's idea of "justice" is punishing the people who didn't do it with "reform" that would do nothing to prevent another shooting spree.

Cheat, lie, pander, exploit, use every dirty trick, call in every favor, badger, bribe, and STILL lose in the house your party controls. Enjoy that bitter taste, Mr. President.

Good. I hate the Huff Post. Most commenters are radically leftist and many are from out of the country like the UK who post their drivel on there too. But yeah, the rabid dogs will keep coming back and try to get something's passed. Several states are doing what the fed's aren't doing right now and confiscating citizens firearms and ammo illegally. I just bide my time and wait because we all know that it took several years the 1st time before we got fed up and said enough was enough. Statist's, GTHO of my way.

A few bill supporters I have talked to today are ragging. Where are they getting this 90% of the American people supported this bill crap from?

When liberals don't get what they want, "democracy has failed us."

When liberals DO get what they want, "if you don't like how democracy works, you can just leave."

That's the spirit of modern "democracy", isn't it?

Oh boy, I'm pissing some leftist's off on there. One of them told me that Thomas Jefferson would disagree with me because I told them all that we are a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. At least on paper we are a Republic. In the real world, the government and this country has steered far away from that.

“A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.”
- Thomas Jefferson

Heck yeah that was me. I got some of them fired up at me. Some of my comments were being deleted though, the commies don't like truth.

Just for extra sauce, I have been targeted by a group of leftist's democrat's on another website also. They made a thread specifically about ME! When they do that, you know you're getting to them.

Societies are only as strong as the agreements we make to support each other. Most of the government's work recently has been to divide us, designing disagreements for us all to employ against each other.

"You can just leave" may be the death knell of the union. There is no table to talk at. We're all just warring over who wields the government hammer, and who gets the smack down.

The war on our liberty and rights will never be over until we remove them all from power. Our Founder's were fairly adamant about that themselves.

Now they know how millions of people have felt about Roe v. Wade.

And for all its faults, Heller is on much stronger constitutional ground than Roe ever was.
