Huckabee

Ron won. Why? Because he told the truth, again.

He schooled the candidates and the American public.

I don't consider a candidate a winner when he tells you what you want to hear instead of what you need to hear.

Well nobody gives a shit, this isn't some fucking fairy tale where truth, good, and honor will always prevail against evil.

The guy who won is the guy who was able to garner the most votes from the most people, not who told the truth and was polite to everybody else.

Jesus fucking christ wake up already

Remember who recieved the outburst of cheers ?

He was the winner. That few seconds was rwnge.

End Thread.

Did you wake up because someone lied to you? Or was it because someone told you the truth and something stirred in you so you verified it for yourself?

Truth always wins. Now whether or not the sleepers acknowledge it or not, we shall see.

Truth always wins? Who are you, Mary Poppins?

Lies seem to dominate politics. Hell, it's the human condition to lie to themselves. The problem only compounds when we think as groups. I mean, for example, look at this forum! How many of us were convinced we would get 3rd or better in Iowa? Washington politics has a reality distortion field, but so does this movement. It's evident with every cheerleading youtube video -- not that they aren't enjoyable, but that's escapism, not a way to convert people.

I have a video camera I considered taking to NH, but I left it behind because I knew there would be a hundred others doing that crap. It's nice and all, but you spend too much time here it becomes a distraction.

Anyway, to get back on point, It takes a lot of discipline to discover the truth and live by it. Most people are intellectually lazy and want to be told what to do for the most part. Big lies take effort to pull apart. Truth doesn't magically win out, even if it's certain doom to ignore it.

This is not an intellectual debate (at least in the narrow sense). This is a job interview.

I'm not good at job interviews and often don't get hired for jobs I'm the most qualified for. It's just the way it is. The only solution is to learn the dance, or find a way to get around it.

I’ve conducted many job interviews myself.

One of the things I try to determine during an interview is whether or not I’m being bullshitted.

Hucky (and the rest of them for that matter) was/were bullshitting us tonight.

I think that it IS an intellectual debate. Generalities are tough. Not everyone is looking at this in the same way. I’d venture to guess (and to hope) that being as important as a presidential election is, most people would have their bullshit detectors on.

I've been a Ron supporter since '97 and he's one of my heros, but Huckabee dominated the time and with the exception of making a bad joke, 'won' the dog & pony show.

Ron didn't fight for his fair share of time, and missed a buttload of opportunities to differentiate himself from the rest. He should have spoken with authority on the Health Care issue (instead Romney did), and he could have expounded more on inflation and how he's the ONLY candidate with a plan (or even the slightest idea) on how to deal with it.

He was way too nice and reflective. This wasn't a dinner table for crying out loud!

Huckabee didnt say shit, we werent watching the same debate apparently. Ron Paul was laughed at in the beginning, and it looked grim. But he picked up the pace, and most unbiased viewers will agree he won.

Guiliani's crack about America being despised because of its freedom for women made me laugh... maybe I was the only one!

Anywho, Thompson was strong, and RP held his own, even one-upping others at times.

Huckabee is a moron. The $1billion dollar federal payout to anyone who can make a 100mpg car (???) was hilarious, and sad; what an uninformed gomer pyle ignoramus.

Oh help.

Huckabee even stated with authority that in ten years he can make the U.S. energy independent! I thought I had heard it all.

Seriously, I am glad Ron Paul didn't say that crap because I simply couldn't support such a fool.

I see your point Dary I don't disagree with you bro.

I woke up not because someone told me the truth.
I woke up because I was LOOKING for the truth.

cheers anyway

Ron Paul 2008!!!

Cool. I see where your coming from. Peace.
