How Ron Paul Wins the Nomination (full nomination schedule, delegate #'s, and analysis)

Our delegates thus far aren't finalized yet, unless I'm mistaken; don't count the chickens before they hatch. We need to remain vigilant.

Apparently we are doing well, but these delegates still have conventions to get through before they are cemented as official delegates for the national convention who will vote on the nomination. I think a lot of people are misleading about the delegate issue on these forums, assuming we already have all these delegates that still have hurdles to overcome yet. We still have to get our delegates through obstacles before we can properly say we have secured delegates.

Who the hell is rating this thread down?

Some people on this forum, truly, are beyond negative.

Fuck'em! Keep up the good work 1836, we're on our way! Also, can anyone tell me how long "bound" delagets would be committed in a brokered convention...Is it true that after 1 vote they would all become unbound...and if so we NEED to fight for spots in EVERY STATE, not just caucuses......and if that is the case, I am really liking our chances, this thing looks more and more like a brokered convention every day!!! LMK, NOBP

I would be interested in seeing an update of where we are vs. where we need to be as outlined in the OP.

It depends on the state. If I remember correctly FL delegates are bound till the third vote.

At the rate that Santorum is going and Romney is falling is it still possible for Santorum to hit 1144?

In a State like Texas, our bound delegates are bound for two votes, then may make their decision. Other states have bound delegates that are only bound by one vote. Texas also have undeclared delegates I believe. The battle in Texas will be whether or not we lose our 2nd place winner delegates. Also Texas' primary is being pushed back a whole month! Texas and California will truly be a political battle and we have to fight hardest here because we're last on the list. This especially is when we need to build up the campaign war chest. For Liberty!

I have noticed that some states delegates are bound. Meaning there is no bound for 1 ballot, bound for 2 ballots. Hell, D.C. they are bound UNTIL RELEASED. So unless someone can show me otherwise, what I see is that unless a state delegation has rules that release bound candidates, bound means bound until released.
