Hope is nearly lost for me

The only hope I see is that Mcain drops dead or the media (with our help) starts printing the truth about Mcain. Maybe the swiftboaters or vets against can help us. Regardless I am still voting tommorow and have five friends voting.

Well the message is useless unless we have a president who will put into use this message.
There are many ways to promote freedom, prosperity, and peace. Politics is just one way. The presidential race is just one way. The message can be a lifestyle, not just something exclusive to government.

Do the best we can

Why should we continue trying to win this when there will be no brokered convention and he will not run third party?

We should continue trying to do the best we can, and compete for every vote and every delegate we can win for Ron Paul, because the better he does, the more the message will spread, the more that similar candidates will be encouraged to run for public office, and the more power and influence he will wield in Congress.

Personally I had hoped he would retire from Congress, drop out of the Republican race, and launch a third party bid with a fifty-million-dollar-plus money bomb fueled by the "economic stimulus" checks, but it's his call, and he's already done so much and endured so much and worked so hard to spread the message of freedom.

Getting reelected to Congress is important to him, and that wasn't going to happen if speculation kept building about a third party presidential bid. The Congressional primary is coming up in March in Texas, so he had to announce something now, one way or the other.

I say let's beat McCain and Huckabee everywhere we can, or at least embarrass them as much as we can, by showing them that not everyone is on board with higher taxes, higher spending, and more war.

Whether he wins doesn't matter. He's said repeatedly that the support that has been generated has surprised even him. It IS about the message. It always has been.

Even if Paul won, we'd still have to get other RP Republicans into positions of power in the Republican party. You really think if he won, the MSM, elites, bilderbergs, CFR, Rockefellers, and so forth would just say, "Well shit Ron! Looks like you got the best of us! Go ahead and take all our power away!"

This is just the beginning.

Exacly. I was just talking to my wife about this. The media would belittle and mis-represent him just the same - even if he were president. They would blame him for all the problems he would inherit when he took office. He would get no cooperation from anyone currently running the show. This is a LONG uphill climb we are looking at.

I am truly sorry for all who are hurting or feel betrayed tonight. Compared to most of you I have done very little. I can't imagine how many of you must feel, and I don't pretend to. But for me, this is just the beginning.

We didn't come all this way to end in smoke. We need to exploit McCain's war attitude and give reasons to support Ron Paul and tell why McCain is not a conservative. Huckabee wants to take down McCain. Progressives want to take down McCain (or McCrack) Can't we all stand up for one common cause and then go to battle with Huck? Seriously, we need to take McCain down and force OT with this game! IT IS FAR FROM OVER! IF WE FIGHT TO THE END! WE FIGHT TO THE END AND PUT IN A TOUGH BATTLE!

We must fight McCain, but we cannot align with Huck. He is the same as McCain. Fight for what is right, but do not align with the very thing we are trying to change. Fight for Ron Paul, like he has fought for us! We must stay in this, as no one knows what will happen in the future! Keep on fighting in the remaining states! Do it for Ron Paul, do it for ourselves and our kids!

To me, this doesn't change anything

I am still writing Ron Paul's name in. I am still going to try as hard as possible on Tuesday to win Virginia. I don't blame Ron at all, he had little chance to begin with and even less with the biased Media.

It's alright.

He ignited something in me I will never extinguish, stop working for, or give up on. Because the consequences of the opposite are too dire for my future family.

He reignited the revolution and ignited in me something I can never extinguish.

I disagree with everybody when they say "it's the message, not Ron Paul" Well the message is useless unless we have a president who will put into use this message.

PRESIDEN TWOULDN`T BE ENOUGH!

YOU MUST RUN INTO POLITICS WITH RON PAUL`S PLATFORM!

YOU MUST TAKE OVER THE POLITICS!

WE HAVE A HUGE NETWORK; WE CAN GET MANY PEOPLE TO CONGRESS!

It's funny that people will have faith in the unseen when it is despair. Don't believe in defeat until the defeat has actually happened.

As Rocky said, "I didn't hear no bell."

Yep. We need to take some drastic measures now if we have not already.

Sure it's disappointing, but the truth is...

Ron Paul already won.

He won because he has educated hundreds of thousands if not millions on economics, foreign policy, sound money, civil liberties and the Constitution. And he has brought those people into the GOP on a local level where if they stick to and stay involved they will educate millions, tens of millions, more over the the coming years. The Libertarian Party has been trying to do this for years and failed miserably. Paul achieved it in less than a year! How incredible.

Ron Paul's campaign was always an unlikely quest. None of us could really have predicted that the MSM would completely and utterly blackout the Ron Paul campaign. It is frustrating. They cost us this battle, but they have lost the war.

My girlfriend is a Chinese national (PRC). When she came to this country a year ago she had just applied for membership in the Chinese Communist Party, but had not attended the required "Moral Education" classes. Her entire life she has been propagandized by the CCP.

We have followed the campaign together since before Iowa on the internet. But it wasn't till we watched the NH Forum from start to finish that she really knew anything about the other candidates or why Ron Paul was better than them. After that, I would find HER looking up stuff on Ron Paul when I wasn't around!?

Today, we were watching Paul's speech at CPAC on youtube and I noticed when it was over that she was crying. When I asked her what's wrong and she said, "That is the America that I wanted to come to America for."

All I could do was agree. That's the America that I want too.

Which is why when I complete my overseas tour I will be getting involved in the local GOP wherever I happen to be. And why all RP supporters should commit to doing the same.

It's also why I am still going to fill out my primary absent ballot and mail it proudly. And why I am going to proudly write in Ron Paul for the general election should he ultimately fail, though I have a modest hope that with Romney's withdrawal he may get a slew of Romney voter's...my parents among them.

I take pleasure contemplating this image: McCain furious, screaming, clutching thousands of write-in ballots for Ron Paul in critical battleground states such as my own that have cost him the presidency he never deserved.

And on that day, the truth will be obvious to all: the old GOP is dead. The Ron Paul Revolution has won.

Time to get active. Instead of being disheartened, vow to triple your efforts thusfar. I fear the ones who are "leaving the board" "feeling let down" etc... may be the folks who have done little to this point save Google searches, finger pointing and whining.

Print and send letters from the grassroots section of RP's main site. I just went online and purchased RP clothing, hats, stickers and slim jims and I'm going to hit the streets.

Do your own "straw poll" at the local mall or discount store. Get people talking. Cause a stir.

Find out what issues people in your district feela re the most important. Contact local representatives and make your results known.

This is far from over. Dr. Paul has to protect his congressional seat or all this has been for nil.

Get active or they win again.

I too should probably leave the forum and will right after this post until Ron Paul takes responsibility for his campaign instead of just saying basically 'gee-whiz'.

I'm not going to attack other posters who say this is a another fair weather, non contributing troll chiming in...fact is I don't post because the message is covered on the internet ad nauseum - I've done plenty in my community and with cash to the campaign. And I've been down this road before in 1988, 1992 and 1996 with RP and Harry Browne. So check that thought right now and get real.

Theres an old saying I'm sure we all know - doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is insanity.

If Ron wants more money he can easily get it, many more votes and delegates too - for Gods sake his message is the only hope we have - but first he has to show some leadership and hold this campaign accountable for what they've failed to do, repeatedly.

Come on lets get past the kool-aid here they got 10x the money ad 100x the people they ever imaged to deliver a popular message in a receptive time and in the most brutal of ironies couldn't handle it. Not Ron Paul per se, but rather the management and staff of the campaign that has failed him miserably...so far.

But Ron is not without responsibility and what is annoying me most now is this crap of 'keep donating and I'll stay in the race' it's obscene and defies his message.

I'll tell you what Ron - I'll be first in line to give you another 1250 when you show some leadership, take responsibility and fire all the morons who tarnished your name and squandered the 30+ million we already gave and replace them with professionals so you can get back to the job of running for president with the largest grass roots support base around.

Put my money and time where your mouth is all I'm asking.

Until then I'm ghost here. Die-hard does not mean blind.

You are a conspiracy nut...

Call me a conspiracy nut but I think by the time 2012 comes we'll be living under martial law, that's why Ron Paul gave me hope. Now it's time to prepare to go to South America I think. I would fight but I have a daughter and I don't want to put her in danger. So until an armed revolution succeeds her, I'll be leaving

I am officialy proclaiming you a nut, a nut of the conspiracy variety, not your run of the mill nut but a special kind of nut.
There are many reasons to go to SA but there are many reasons to stay here..
THE USA IS STILL GREAT..
Rock on.

With all his faults. With all his campaign managers faults, he's still the vehicle for letting our corrupt government and MSM know "WE AIN"T GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE".............You got someone better? ..... Support him more than ever!
