I tend to break ranks with the Bell Curve people on this one point, if only in that I subscribe to a Lamarckist view of inheritance rather than the Modern Synthesis approach. Poverty on a single generational level doesn't always correlate to criminality, but I would definitely ascribe more of a direct correlation of poverty and broken households in a 2-generation context to criminality. In fact, I'd argue that the poverty and marital situation of the parents can have a drastic and immediate effect on the behavior of an individual. While the IQ discrepancies between people of African descent vs. other ethnic backgrounds are still present, I wouldn't alone attribute those to criminality, and in my opinion there is a great deal of correlation between collective low IQ and cultural tendencies that are passed on from parent to offspring.

It would be great if we lived in an ideal world, but unfortunately, that is not the case. Who are you to tell minorities that they should be colorblind when there are specific issues they face due to the color of their skin? You're part of the problem. You're more concerned with this perceived slight against white people than you are the actual struggles minorities face.

When someone (Hillary in this case) says white people need to listen, it means they need to understand why there's so much distrust with regards to the police, for example. It is mostly white people who continue to prop up the police state because they're afraid of the "Other." Quit weeping over the death throes of white hegemony and start understanding those who are being squashed by the boot of the State who aren't white.

Not once in my post did I address what Hillary said or how you're supposed to be a better listener. I'm addressing only the fact that some are talking as if they believe welfare put black people in poverty. Welfare contributes to why black people remain in poverty, but it didn't put them there.

You're right for the most part. I guess I took issue with your claim that people are denying racism exists and then went on addressing the OP. I wasn't really addressing what you said though. You're right. Sorry if confusing.

The simple fact is that facts and logical argument are being engineered out of society and a purely emotionally motivated society put into its place. Think the state of the family unit is bad now?
