I like the idea but I don't want them getting arrested and going to jail for 10 years....don't forget about H.R. 347 which criminalizes free speech anywhere close where the Secret Service is protecting someone.

H.R. 347 awaits only Obama's signature to make it a federal offense.

The bill makes it a federal offense to enter a building or grounds without permission or with the intent to disrupt a government function if "the President or other person protected by the Secret Service is or will be temporarily visiting" or if said area is "restricted in conjunction with an event designated as a special event of national significance."

Shouting and/or waving signs of protest can easily be construed as disruptive conduct.

Protesters exercising their First Amendment rights could easily fall under the provisions of this law if an enforcement agent determines they intended to disrupt a government function, obstructed or impeded access to the event, or engaged in disruptive or disorderly conduct in or within proximity of the restricted location.

Doesn't even require H.R 347, last time there were mass arrests of people walking (many not even part of the protest) in the area on charges of "Conspiracy to Riot" I kid you not.
The arrests were sweeping enough that it created it's own mini-meme and at least one song specifically about it. I'm sure the song isn't everyones style but the vid also has footage from the events there.

I know I've said this many times on RPF but it bears repeating, things are bad and getting worse regarding law and American political culture. We need a President who will enforce the Constitution and we need it now

This will be able to have an impact on convention delegates as well. Those who are unbound or super delegates that are not 100% decided may be swayed.
Picture becoming unbound, with the sounds of the march ringing in your ears. That will effect some of the soft support and could be the edge we need so long as the grassroots keeps focus on winning this race.

This is not just symbolically magnificent it's tactically quite savvy and well timed.
