I think that we should all help Ralph Nadar get on the Ballot. While I don't agree with his politics he will be a very visible third party candidate and he will help shed light on Ballot restrictions and MSM censorship. Also, should Ron walk away from convention with the nomination Ralph Nadar could act a Democrat spoiler.

This is a forum for the Republican candidate. Why would we help a third party leftist? Also this doesn't have much to do with the grassroots RP campaign, but much more to do with other candidates.

It's certainly possible that we could have an election with Obama, McCain, Nader, Bloomberg and Paul. Out of that entire group, Paul is the only conservative. Wouldn't he win in that situation. The liberals would have the vote split by 4 people!

Uh, no. Helping Nader is like helping McCain.

I totally disagree with that.

Nader is an honest big government liberal.
McCain is a dishonest big government conservative.

Nader is serious about cleaning up corruption and opening up our political system.
McCain is serious about maintaining the current state of corruption while pretending he is the straight talkin' "reformer".

Nader is serious about PEACE.
McCain is serious about WAR.

Helping Nader is nothing like helping MCCain!

Very true. Our Revolution is about restoring liberties, at least in my mind. I want honest people in office, even if they don't agree with my personal views.

I like Nader, but he is acting like an idiot. He should join a third party, so there's a point in voting for him.

He is running on a platform that looks as though it will not be represented in the general election. If you agree with that platform, then there is a point to voting for him.

I don't get why people want to discourage others from running for office when they represent legitimate political points of view...

Nadar is for the elimination of the income tax, and for an end to the war.

That's better than the democrats we have now.

I'd vote for him strictly for the entertainment value of that presidency(if my only choices were Obama/Clinton/mccain)

Nadar is for the elimination of the income tax

I didn't realize that.

Damn - I might support him seriously!

End the War and End the Income Tax - I'd put up with his other big good government sideshows if that is the centerpiece of his presidency!

His views on Iraq are awful. Withdraw slowly over a 6 month period, and then give it to the UN.

Well, if we're going to spend the summer gathering signatures on petitions to get Ron Paul on the ballot anyway, it seemingly wouldn't hurt to get them for Nader at the same time...

Except, of course, that conservatives would see us doing it.

Of course, if we tell them we're just trying to split the liberal vote, they might buy that we're doing our part for conservatism...

Except, of course, if they're smart enough to realize we're threatening to split the Republican vote in an effort to get the nomination.

Hmmm... I think I'll spend the summer trying to ensure that Ron Paul is on the ballot with or without the G.O.P.'s blessing and to hell with Nader.

There are enough socialist idiots out there to get Nader on the ballot. Spend your time more constructively like educating other Americans about the Fed.

Everything you said is right, but you totally missed the point.

Nader will take votes away from democrats which split the vote and make it more possible for McCain to win. Therefore, helping Nader split the vote is, in essence, helping McCain.
