Has anyone else noticed that Obama fans are totally clueless?

Being a regular reader of Hot Topics, I can't help but conclude that a small subset of Ron Paul's supporters (JOOOOO haters, troofers, white supremacists, the chemtrail crowd, guys who honestly believe that Arcturian Reptilians are out there watching their every move) are totally clueless as well. Every philosophy attracts its share of wackjobs like a dog attracts fleas, and Obama is no different.

I am going to be optimistic and assume that the majority of Obama's supporters simply want change and see him as the most likely candidate to bring about that change. We can disagree vehemently with his methods, and indeed we have a duty to do so. I certainly won't fall into the trap of dismissing ALL of his supporters as clueless, and IMO you shouldn't either.

Obama = not Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton
Obama = no war (so they think)
Obama = anti-Bush (so they think)

Many of them should be our supporters if we were doing our job.

What a great thread!

Try me. Ask me about an issue, and I'll tell you where he stands.

Blanket statements suck sphincter buttermilk.

Why do you support a candidate that:

-said he would go into Pakistan/Iran/etcetera and only says Iraq was a mistake (he was not a Senator at time of vote) but yet votes to continue funding it?
-that does not support an anti-flag burning amendment (I agree with him here) but rather has pushed for legislation that will bypass the constitution and ban it?
-voted for Patriot Act II?
-is in favor of Real ID and only said he was against it last time because of funding, not civil liberties?
-is heavily into Welfare State ideas when the Comptroller General says our country is broke?

Clinton promised "change." So did Bush43. Why will it be different this time?

I didn't know he supported REAL ID... and I'm not entirely familiar with the welfare state you propose. Voting for the PAT II is a huge blackmark. I'm not saying I agree with him... this situation was that Obama supporters don't know where he stands. I can refute that. I like Obama better than Ron Paul, but I'm voting for Ron Paul... I can defend Obama, because I believe I understand his reasons for taking certain positions.
