Tuesday on his radio show, conservative talker Sean Hannity castigated the so-called “Never Trump” movement for acting in a way that he said might result in Hillary Clinton becoming the next president due to their opposition of GOP nominee Donald Trump.


Hannity named talk host Glenn Beck and National Review editor Jonah Goldberg in particular during his critique and told his listeners he would be voting for Trump “with a clear conscience.”

“Let me just say to all of you and that includes the commentator class,” Hannity said. “That includes the Jonah Goldberg class, that includes radio talk show hosts. Glenn Beck is like on a — it’s a holy war for him at this point. I mean, he’s off the rails attacking me every day, blaming me for Trump. Well, no. I was fair to everybody, Glenn. Whether you want to admit it or not. I know I was fair. My conscience is clear. And I, frankly, I’m proud to pull the lever for Donald Trump with a clear conscience.”


Hannity went through what he said would be the consequences of a Clinton presidency and argued the “Never Trump” movement would be responsible.

We're already owning the horrible consequences of every President, Congressmen, State Politician, and bureaucrat that have been elected or hired in the past one hundred years. I doubt piling one more on top is a surprising change of pace for anyone.

My first response is so what? Trump is even worse.

But really the only people responsible for a Clinton presidency are the people that were nutty enough to support and vote for Trump in the primaries The GOP base nominated the worst candidate in my lifetime so the blame lays squarely on them. They had Paul and Kasich, who both would have mopped the floor with Clinton, and yet they supported the crazy Oompa Loompa.

The only thing worse than Clinton winning though is the knowledge that Trumps supporters tend to be a bunch of conspiracy believing nutters and racist nationalists and they will most likely claim fraud after he gets obliterated in the election. If they would disappear back to where they came from then that would be at least a consolation prize of a Clinton victory but instead we get a double dose of crap heaped on us with their continued presense.

There will be obvious disagreements about Trump, but Kasich was horrific. He had next to no support from any wing of the GOP,even the moderates. Literally a conservative Democrat running as a Republican. He also had a serious soft underbelly with abortion and comments on women that would have left him open to another "binders full of women" attack from lib media.

And let's not forget him coming in fourth in a three man race, plus dumping confetti on his head when he won his own state, and nothing else. And people call Trump an ego maniac...lol. Kasich had his own mini-convention for winning his own state and being mathematically eliminated from even contesting the nomination. Just pathetic.

Yes, this is where pragmatic thinking trumps emotional knee jerk emotionalism, about not picking the lesser of two evils so we can make ourselves feel better, when it does nothing to really help America.
If Clinton wins, 3 years from now when guns have been restricted and the supreme court has been stacked, perhaps only then will the puritans understand.
