Hannity to ‘Never Trumpers’: If Trump Loses, ‘You Own’ Consequences of Hillary Presidency

2008: "If you don't vote for McCain!!!!!"
2012: "If you don't vote for Romney!!!"
2016: "If you don't vote for Trump!!!!"

Exactly. In my almost 40 years of liberty activism it's always been the same. Every 4 years the world is coming to an end if we don't stop so-and-so, or elect their opponent or whatever. And after every one of those elections, no matter who won, things continue to get worse, but the world does go on.

It's just the latest round of political theater.

An America First candidate running for president? Who would have thunk it after all this corruption? Think of all the gatekeepers that Trump has steamrolled over thus far.

NAFTA destroyed the smaller agriculture business in Mexico for the record. That's what the hat is about.

Isn't Mexico its own country? Why not let the Mexican govt deal with Mexico's problems and the US govt deal with Merican problems.

NAFTA is an agreement that links both countries unfortunately.

Read My Lips

You still buying that crap?

Trump.....is not my ideal pick, but the stakes seem too high for me to put my ideological pride over pragmatic actions that could (albeit in a small way) avert a greater catastrophe.

Amen & rep points

Hannity has carried Cruz, Rubio & Rand's water when they have made goofy policy comments; now they those supporters complain he does it for Trump, at a point when it's Trump vs Clinton.

We should bomb Russia because Rubio seems sincere when he gives speeches & Trump just wants to jock around with putin.

If you don't like that, watch Megyn Kelly. Hannity has to shill if he wants them on his show.

Rubio was on Hannity 50 times in 2013 promoting his career & his amnesty bill.

Rand was probably on 10 times goofing around on this or that potential.

Any time that happened, every supporter was [clap, clap, clap] "Master of messaging" when they are talking to a shill.

Trump is similar but he called McCain a loser; said Bush did poorly on 911 & opposed many new wars & Hannity should be grilled why he is not supporting as much war this time.

Its already been said in the thread, and I agree that Hannity should be blaming the republican voters who nominated the worst candidate.

Or how about blaming the people who are going to vote for Hillary?

He's simply parroting one of the most worn-out misconceptions of the day.

No-- if you endorse a situation, you and only you can possibly "own" the consequences. If you vote for Trump, Trump. If you vote for Hillary, Hillary.

I choose to only own up to my own actions.

Hannity was saying this stuff to us in 2012 because we refuse to support Romney.

I agree. A Trump voter must own up to the consequences of a horrible Trump presidency.

But, when one considers the consequences of Hillary Clinton becoming President, I think the consequences of not stoping her makes the earlier choice (even if it leads to a horrible presidency) more permissible and forgivable.

The reality is that we are edging ever more closer to the brink. If some people want to choose the high road, and stay ideologically pure in their voting record, that is completely their choice, and I respect it. Its what has endeared me to Ron Paul and I believe when done selflessly, it is the most honorable way.

Sadly, however, every election cycle that passes, things keep getting worse. With times the way they are, it seems like we must not only defend the rule of law in this nation, but fight for it.

If Hillary wins, then lawlessness will reign, and I shudder to think about what will happen. If Trump wins, I think the consequences are less severe.

Here is a story to illustrate my point.

My tire blows while driving on a curved mountainside and starts heading for a tree on cliff. If I do nothing, it smashes into the tree and likely causes my death. Or, I can try and manipulate and control the jolting steering wheel, and as a result, possibly fall and tumble down the cliff. Or I can jump out the door and break my legs and get seriously hurt (even die!).

A vote for Hillary is letting the car go full on collision with the tree and likely death.

A vote for Trump is like opening the door and diving out of the car and onto the road at 40 mph.

A vote for third party in this geopolitical climate is like trying to swerve and control the uncontrollable car, with the overwhelming odds being that the car flies off the cliff resulting in death.

If people want to try to steer the car to safety out of good intent and noble purpose, even at the possible consequence of death, I completely respect that.

If people want to give up on controlling the wheel and rather take the risk of jumping out of the speeding car, I respect that too. Such an act does not make one a quitter. It makes one a survivor.

If people just want to let the car slam head on into the tree, well then, they should vote for Hillary.

If I was alone in the car, I might take the small chance of steering it to safety and avoiding a catastrophe.

Because I am not the only person in the car, but am riding also with my family and friends, and since I truly believe we are approaching the point of no return for this nation and her guiding principles (that is, this car is going up in flames), I am letting go of the wheel, grabbing my loved ones, and jumping out of this car. We can maybe live another day, and work on getting better tires on the next car.

I know some will not agree with this, which is fine. I am only expressing my thoughts on this election.
