Israeli ministers have reportedly approved a plan for the full takeover of the Gaza Strip, according to media reports citing unnamed officials.
The proposal to seize and occupy the territory for an unspecified period was approved in a vote held by Israel's security Cabinet early Monday, the Associated Press reported.
The Israeli military has mobilized tens of thousands of reservists in preparation. The officials said the plan is designed to help achieve Israel's war aims of defeating the Palestinian militant group Hamas and securing the release of hostages held in Gaza.
Implementation of the plan is expected to begin only after President Donald Trump's visit to the region next week.
Newsweek has reached out to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) via email for comment.

Also of note, the Victory Day ceasefire implemented by Russia is set for the 8th through the 10th. Russia has explicitly stated that this is a test for Zelensky regime to see if they are sincere about peace talks.
There's some chatter that Russia may take the gloves of is Zelensky follow through with the terrorist threats to violate the ceasefire.
Of course, Russia has a long track record of being very reserved.

Nine sites reportedly hit in Yemen attacks
Al Jazeera’s Ali Hashem has reported that Houthi-affiliated media said a total of nine sites have been hit in Hodeidah.
Israeli media said at least 30 Israeli fighter jets were involved in strikes on Yemen, which come a day after the Houthis attacked the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, with a missile landing near the facility.
A senior US official said the raids are being carried out in coordination with the US. Al Jazeera could not immediately confirm that information

I'm familiar with the "Torah Jews" argument against Zionism, but it's interesting to hear Seth Rogen make a secular argument against Zionism.
Didn't know they attacked him for his stance.
I will say, I've also thought about what he alludes to, how "they need a bunch of Jews to do in Israel to fulfill a Chrisitan apocalypse". This aligns with other theories about the "why" of modern Israel. To me, though, it isn't necessarily relevant when you are opposing it.
Whether the genocide is supposed to end with Israel ruling the Middle East, or whether Israel is supposed to some sacrifical lamb in a more involved plot, it's still genocide.
And the U.S. is actively participating in said genocide.
