I was not able to post here then but I went to the Tampa debate viewing party. After the debate Romney and Perry came to shake hands.

When Romney was there I was right up front with my wife. She went up to him with her Ron Paul sign and said "Mr Romney, will you sign this?". He said "I like him but will not sign that".

So I turned on my video camera (or so I thought) and walked up to him as he was shaking hands and asked:
Me: "You support states rights when it comes to health care, do you also support states rights when it comes to medical marijuana?"

Romney: "I think that needs to be handled at the federal level."

Unfortunately I had hit "stop" on the video as opposed to "record".

someone could ask him the medical marijuana question again. pray that he doesn't flipflop.

He's actually always wanted medical marijuana to be illegal at the federal level afaik. He won't let that be a states rights issue.

Well, it's not like anyone expects Romney to be big on states' rights anyway.

He's not flip-flopping, but he's inconsistent. Why should healthcare be a different matter, especially considering how relevant something like medicinal marijuana is to health care?

He is not flip-flopping on marijuana. He just keeps using states rights as an excuse for passing RomneyCare, which is his achilles heel.

I figured that it would be nice to have a Youtube video of him talking about how "it was right for Massachusetts but it might not be right for another state" when it comes to health care, but when it comes to medical marijuana "that should be handled at the federal level".
