The Democratic party is a non issue at this point, which is why I did not address them.

Correct, that was one of the bones offered to insurance companies to go along with Obamacare. I haven't heard if there's any such thing with the new plan.Secondly, I don't believe people could just pop up and sign up for ObamaCare. There was an enrollment period. If you didn't sign up then, you were SOL for the rest of the year.
This is bad. Republicans are going to pay a heavy price for this.
I haven't seen anything that limits what the insurance company can charge people with preexisting conditions. .
Under current law, health insurance companies can’t refuse to cover you or charge you more just because you have a “pre-existing condition” — that is, a health problem you had before the date that new health coverage starts.

You do agree that the maintenance of power is the primary objective for the Democratic Party as well, right?
I didn't parse the entire bill but I have a question, if anyone knows. Wasn't the original Obamacare bill about 2000 pages of legislation? Does this bill repeal that 2000 pages and the mess of Code of Federal Regulations created or does it only change the mandate and tax/fine sections and leave everything else exactly the same?

The second one.Does this bill repeal that 2000 pages and the mess of Code of Federal Regulations created or does it only change the mandate and tax/fine sections and leave everything else exactly the same?
As usual Rand is in our corner on this. The GOP are just making it ObamaCare Lite.
IMHO the only reason people vote for the left is to punish the GOP.
That's good shit. And food stamps are a reward for eating.
I disagree. I think the main reason people vote for the democratic party is to get free stuff.
I don't agree. The Democratic party has regularly done things, recently, which are harmful to their ability to gain/keep power. That's what I mean when I say that they are more concerned with pleasing the loudest among them. Many of the positions they've taken ostracize / turn off more people than they attract.
I can't think of something off the top of my head which the Democrats proposed recently which went directly against their party's supposed values in a manner similar to this bill.
