Going to Iowa to campaign - need some help

Post some pics and let us know how things are going. Thanks for helping win Iowa!

Liberty Girl may I suggest Greyhound instead. Cheaper then gas, no wear on the car, and no worrys about getting stuck in the weather.

Make sure you are prepared for the Iowa cold. january is about the coldest time of year. Not uncommon to hit 40 below during the night time.

Great suggestion, that would be a big cost savings for sure. If you could do that, you could probably help another project on this forum get moving as well.

yeah, i'm going to take greyhound if I get the green-light. Greyhound is pretty affordable. I had booked a roundtrip from the Midwest to D.C. for a couple hundred bucks earlier this year.

Weird, Im leaving from Scranton to Des Moines and its $205 Roundtrip. One of my stops is in Buffalo and from Buffalo to Des Moines is $205. Still better then driving

How was your experience? Were their electrical outlets?

"but they want people to bring cars if they can for driving people to different places while in Iowa."

Congratulations on being picked! And thank you so much for your time and dedication!

I'm looking forward to reading all about your adventure! Keep us posted!

Thank you!! I definitely will. I'm really, really looking forward to it!

For all the ppl recommending buses and flying, maybe they don't understand that Iowa is made up of mostly small towns. The only trains around here carry coal and grain, not people - so driving a car is about the only way to get from town to town, surely something people coming to canvass for Paul will need to do.

Best of luck to everyone getting involved! Let's keep the momentum up :D

Like I said in an earlier post, they are looking for people to bring cars if they can because they're going to need people to drive all the volunteers places while in Iowa.

Bringing the car is a must. The only thing I would suggest is finding someone else to come with you (maybe someone else who also got picked?) & splitting up the driving time so you don't have to buy a hotel both ways.
