Glenn Beck - We Need To Unite With Obama.

Gate Keeper my ass. Stop lying to yourself and learn to accept facts/reality. Beck just made a profound statement which he is known to do. He is not fully on our side and that's okay. BUT stop lying to yourself.

Having an opinion is not the same thing as lying to myself.

I'm really not holding Beck to high expectations or anything, hes either against fascism and socialism or hes not. Check out Obama's propaganda website and tell me that is not creepy stuff, how can Beck think its a good idea to unite behind that.

Glen Bleckt: backstabbing, drug addicted, bipolar, neo-con shill. He is no friend of RP's values or the Constitution. This guy would blow Cheney for increased market share. He'll blow Obamination tomorrow for the same.

Glenn Beck is right. Obama is the next President and there is no point in attacking him until he actually does something wrong. If you listened to what he said you would know that he said we need to unite because this country has serious problems that need to be addressed. He also said that he would stand in opposition to Obama if (when) it becomes necessary. He never said that we need to help Obama push through his Marxist agenda. We don't even know if Obama will even be a radical leftist yet (I'll place bets though).

Unfortunately many people here think that unless someone is pushing a pure libertarian agenda they need to be destroyed. Lets wait and see what Obama does. If he's only as bad as Clinton then we will survive.

I won't go as far as saying I will unite behind him but I am waiting to see his actual actions. Maybe just maybe Obama is a closet Libertarian and it is the Democrats turn to be pissed that they were suckered just like the rank and file Republicans feel about Bush. I can dream.

 Sounds like a quip from someone living in a fantasy fairyland.

so sad. look at the people that Obama surrounds himself with and you will know exactly what to expect.

Glenn was trashing Obama two days ago. The election is over. It's pointless to trash him until he starts doing what we all know he's probably going to do. Don't let anyone say we didn't give him a chance.

This

Ya Obama will probably be a terrible president, but why not give him a chance since we are stuck with him anyway, might as well hope he won't be terrilbe and just mediocre lol.

Exactly. If you attack from day one (or in this case before day one) it hurts your credibilty when you attack later. People will just say that you are against him no matter what and dismiss you as a partisan hack.

You guys aren't seriously this dumb. He's saying that all of us Libertarians should unite under Obama, or in fact everybody. No one is praising an Obama administration, we have to all pull through this together. Let's all secede(My opinion :D)

I second your opinion. The opinion now goes to the floor for a consensus vote among RPFers :D.

Glenn Beck will be on O'Reilly on Monday, and his own show on Fox will start in January... I am sure you can let him know how you feel, or at least try to, on Monday. You all know how to get in :)

LoL, I heard Hannity saying essentially the same thing the other day.

Look, it's really very simple:

The media is not "liberal" nor is it "conservative", or any other variation or permutation thereof.

It is "statist".

It is "all government - all the time".

It is Pravda.

It will tow the party line, it will regurgitate the press releases as fact, it is owned by the corporate interests that are vested in an expansionist, welfare/warfare state.

The snits and alarums, the petty biases of the punditry, the "left wing" or "right wing" cheerleading is just a show, it's fake, it's all theater, it's pro wrestling.

There has not been an investigative, hard hitting, independent media for 30 years now, maybe longer.

And there is no-one, regardless of how pleasant their overtures may be, in mainstream media that is a true friend of limited government and liberty.

John Stossel is the real deal, but he's the only one I can think of.

He very well may be.

He did an outstanding interview with Ron Paul that could have worked wonders to introduce him to people.

ABC sat on it and refused to air it on broadcast TV.
