Getting really pissed off about the media bias.. we HAVE to do something

It's been enough. It's time to take action guys. Hope the Paul campaign follows, and they start discussing this BIG TIME in debates. Paul needs to stop being mr nice guy and stop joking about it. This is serious.

Patriotism, we have to hit patriotism. I don't watch MSM, haven't for years and years... a boycott won't help us, and "occupy anything" associates us with the wrong crowd. Gingrich is an idiot, but he is getting people riled up that he is a true Patriot. This is gut instinct. Let's out-Fox Fox.

Fox: "You say Iran should get a nuke, that this is none of our business..."

Response: "I dare them to use it, because we can wipe out the continent from here with ICBMs. Who needs bases, it just takes time for us to evacuate them? I say let Iran do its own thing, and if they use a nuke first, they will learn a harsh lesson. In the mean time, let's save a ton of cash. Why do you want to waste our money when we can deal with the problem in minutes? "

Fox: "Why should the US be an isolationist? If we close up all these foreign bases, if there is ever a conflict we have to go back out there and open them back up again."

Response: "First, I'm not an isolationist. If we are attacked, I will eliminate the enemy with extreme force. Second, perhaps you are unfamiliar with the concept of a battle fleet, or our bomber capabilities? We can target anywhere in the world in hours, and our submarines can be placed strategically at a fraction of the cost. Why are you against bringing our troops home to defend the US and Mexico border?"

Fox: "You want to legalize drugs."
Response: "No, it's the states call. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with this little thing called the Revolution we fought to get rid of our king? And besides, if people want to OD, that's their choice... are you for social medicine? Are you saying that we should instead put these people into expensive treatment facilities like Obama wants? I"m shocked Fox, I really am, that you are saying you support Obamacare!"

Perhaps none of this is actually a good idea, and I don't think it is wise for Ron to do this himself... but this position might work better for us at the 'roots.

Those are great! Send this to the campaign please!

What about Cavuto and Judge Napolitano, who are part of Fox, but also very fair to Ron Paul? Napolitano's shows have been totally an "elect RP commercial" for ages.

As I recall, the last "Fox lies" thing didn't go very well for the liberty cause.

FOX has consistently been bad but CNN has been catching up with them. No, you can't single out one station over another. It is clearly ALL 3 of the cable news media.

Homework assignment: (Dr. Paul would approve of assigning the nightly reading) Control Room by martin Pillsner.... even the media agreed its what really happend..... its Presidential Campaigns and how the media DECIDED them..... ABC use to be a massive jury rigger of elections..... but even cronkite wrote a great note on how this book is exactly what happens. Read it

We would pretty much need a John Galt moment and break into the feeds of all the networks I'm afraid.
I think one of the best things we could do is stack the debates and demand that Dr. Paul gets the respect that he deserves. That CNN thing was a very powerful moment.
gotta provide a better alternative, a more rewarding alternative.

I'm one block away from a Fox station right now. Why wouldn't we Occupy Fox from coast to coast and see if they can black that out?

I know what my sign will be: FOX: HELPING REPUBLICANS PICK THE BIGGEST LOSER SINCE BOB DOLE

lol that's a good one!

Because it is SOOOOO true!

GOP rank and file are sheep being led right to the slaughter...

A free press is not a press owned by 6 corporations..... they have no freedom of the press.... they are self titled entertainers (not for the whole "equal time" idea) What makes you the press needs to be officially defined now.... infotainment is not what the founders had in mind when they wrote we needed a press that the government could not infringe.... These people do not report news... they report opinions

I think that people have their own worldview, and they select a news channel that reinforces their view. It's not just the media that we are confronting, their role in this is protect their audiences from thinking, it's that worldview that we have to directly attack (or appeal to).

You hit the nail on the head. Coming from a media theory background, I can tell you that's exactly how it works. While the plethora of choices in media gives the illusion of choice, the fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people only read and watch media they already mostly agree with. They act as coin sorters, almost, dividing up the populace into easily targeted demographics.

Good propaganda is invisible to its intended target audience. That's why if you watch a show not intended for your audience, the advertising, or news, will sound almost ridiculous to you.

I am all for letting the MSM have it, but PLEASE do not spend too much of your time and effort focusing on the media bias. We can't do much to change it at this point in time. We (the supporters) have to go around the media to reach people and get votes. We do this by engaging in discussion with people, phone banking, donating, and getting others to donate. That is what people need to be focusing 90% of their effort on, imo.

I made this post in another thread

I was thinking about something the other day. We all know there's a concerted and deliberate effort by the MSM to hurt Ron Paul and destroy the liberty movement. There's no doubt in my mind that memos go around and producers and execs tell their news anchors and analysts to ignore Ron Paul, attack him on a certain issue, marginalize him, etc. It's highly unlikely we'll ever get official hard evidence of that in the near future, we should just forge an 'official" memo from one of the major news networks that says what we all know it says and spread it around the internet for everyone to see. We should try and obtain any normal memo so we can make ours look legit. We have to learn to fight fire with fire. If anyone starts to say oh those Paul supporters photoshopped that memo we can just call them crazy tin foil hat conspiracy theorists :D

So what action do we take? I almost think that we need to become so ultra-hyper-Fox-conservative in the way we present our positions to this audience, that they flock like moths to a flame. I am not suggesting that we change a single position, only that we put ourselves in complete control of the delivery....

Don't get pissed, get smart!

There are 564 delegates that Gingrich and Santorum will not earn, because they missed the ballots in key states. Only Ron Paul and Romney are on the ballot in all 50 states.
Help bump this positive story, and let's take it viral if at all possible. It's actually really big news!

Like our most recent post, and join our Ron Paul Delegates page. We just pushed this post out, and we can get a lot of response so long as people see it, and comment, and press like. Also remember to share! =)

While Phone from Home, becoming a delegate, and donating to the campaign are critical elements to winning the campaign, I respectfully disagree with just letting media shills get away with spreading their lies.

It is clear that negative reps on this forum get under the skin of the receiver. It works the same in real life. Nobody likes to have a negative reputation. Nobody. Every time you see or hear somebody tell a lie or distort the truth, call them out with their name, their background information, and their blog or web address. Document it so their children and grandchildren can see for themselves what kind of lying shill their parents were. Before long, the only people with their background information posted will be honest in their dealings. What I have found is that most of the bullshit comes from Ivy League schools. Not all Harvard, Yale, and Oxford graduates are nobel liars but a lot of them are.

We have to make a call to people inside the MSM to release hard evidence of the bias.. we need to put a mole inside if necessary.

I do agree with you. I just think that should be a small part of our effort.... and focusing on the media bias (from what I see) tends to de-motivate/discourage some people from doing the work we need done the most. But I am with you completely. We just have so little time left, and we simply need votes right now (and money). Don't let the media get to you. Do something to fight back at the media, and do the work the campaign needs to go around the media to get votes. I just think the latter is more important.

Edit: For instance, right now we need all hands on deck calling people in SC using the phone bank program rather than people thinking of ways to expose the media bias. We can do that tonight when the polls close...
