Getting really pissed off about the media bias.. we HAVE to do something

Occupy the media. ALL of them. Not just Fox. ALL the corrupt war/debt/freedom robbers. The people need to know

I was just wondering how you'd go about doing this. I'm game for implementing your idea if it's good. I don't like the boycott idea, personally. That's come up on here before, but I think it harms us more than them.

1. It really won't damage their sponsors much if all of Ron Paul's die-hard supporters stop buying crap that sponsors the MSM. There's plenty of people who will still buy these products without thinking.

2. It'll just cut us off from what the average viewer is being subjugated to. Before turning off my TV for pretty much forever (except for the Thanksgiving Day parade, etc.), I decided to challenge myself. No Internet, unless it's a popular news site or for e-mail, and nothing but Fox News and a little CNN for a week. I could read the local papers from Minnesota, but I couldn't go looking up the candidates. I decided to see exactly what the average voter sees. It was disheartening, and I thought, "If it wasn't for the Internet, I probably wouldn't understand Ron Paul at all!"

Now, we've dominated the Internet. There's youtube videos everywhere going viral about how the media is biased against Ron Paul, etc. However, we need to move beyond youtube videos and into the real world. Maintain our stronghold on the net, but use it as a way to plan for action against the media that will actually get attention.

This is no easy feat. Think about it: places that monitor the quality of journalism have pointed out the blatant bias against Ron Paul, and our media's rating has slipped down to about Argentina level now. Do you think this will be reported? No! We're slipping into Soviet Union territory here. The media isn't going to report on how they aren't doing their jobs! And we probably won't be covered for doing an occupy, either.

Sure, they might for a little while, but if it gets serious and gains momentum, well, I can already see the blackout.

What's your idea?

I personally like this idea the best. We need to get thousands or millions of people together and just go take over operations at our local tv stations.... Plan only works with numbers though....

Ron needs to proactively respond to attempts to marginalize him during the debate. He can not stand there and let them f**k with him. During the last debate he did not address King's "do you want in on this". He should come back like a ton of bricks instead of goofy hand waves. If he thinks he can act like Gandhi, he will never get elected.
This is exactly what I have been saying but all I keep hearing from RP supporters is "that is the way he is and he will not change". What a pathetic excuse! We are supposed to be fighting intelligently to win. I started a thread about 2 weeks ago suggesting RP should learn from Gingrich who has been the most aggressive against the media and it has actually worked.

The trouble with a potential "Occupy The Media" movement is that it violates private property and RP would never support it. A week long demonstration outside Fox/CNN/CBS is much better.

That is what I was talking about. But we cannot do this alone. Keep in mind that Ron Paul (and us) are being treated already as a third party. So ANYONE (like myself) who has EVER worked to get a third party candidate's name on the ballot or worked for a campaign for a third party candidate KNOWS we get ignored or marginalized by the media and we're precluded from televised debates. So we MUST form a coalition between ourselves and ALL other third parties and independents who care about what's going on. I know people from the Green Party and the Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party who would be on board with whatever good idea or action we come up with. This isn't a party or candidate issue. This is an American people issue. The candidates the establishment media is always shoving down our throats are responsible for more human suffereing, more environmental degredation, more loss of freedom and loss of our national sovereinty than ANY other force on the planet and they MUST be stopped or they WILL destroy this country and push us into a onw world government/cashless financial system and before they do we WILL have more wars, more debt and lore loss of liberty.

Sorry for the double post but another thought came to mind after I hit send. I am at the point where I am just as committed to sobverting the establishment and their media tolls as I am for getting Ron Paul elected. This is and has been my cause now for over 11 years. The way I see it the Democrat establishment and the Republican establishment are just different sides of the same coin but the coin has an edge and what give it the edge over all opposing voices is the mainstream media.

I have all kinds of facts to prove that when there is a viable third party candidate it actually increases the voter participation and voter turnout. In fact the two party Crimocracy thrives on a dumbed down, ill informed and uninvolved electorate.

Here is a Thomas Paine quote that I committed to memory because of this. All one needs to do it substitute "monarchy" for two party establishment to make this not only timely but prescient.

"There is something exceedingly ridiculous in the compsition of monarchy; it first excludes the man from the means of information and then empowrrs him to act in cases where the highest judgement is required".

Let Captain Shays put this in modern termiology.

"There is something exceedingly ridiculous in the composition of this two party crimocracy; it first deprives us from the information we need to make an intelligent and well informed decision as to whom will govern us and then empowers us to vote for the most powerful leader in the world".

"If information is power then who ever controls the flow of in formation controls a lot of power. Therefore when those who control the flow of information limit that which we need to make an intelligent and well informed decision as to whom will govern us, they are actually limiting our ability to self govern and that is what this entire system is all about" Captain Shays
