Gary Johnson Supports Private Anti-Discrimination Laws Protecting Gays

His view is obviously ridiculous and unlibertarian. He said there would still be segregation in the South w/o the CRA. He isn't even a politician anymore. These kinds of issues should be layups for a Libertarian Party candidate.

I still like him and think he is important. The bigger issue is that you don't get to criticize people for being insufficiently libertarian when you hold views like this. He has a ton of issues like this that should make him more humble about whose libertarian bonafides he calls into question.

Yeah, I would never vote for someone who doesn't believe in something as basic as religious liberty. Gary Johnson is far less libertarian than someone like Rand Paul.

You might not vote for me either because of my position on blasphemy, but that's OK;)

"Bleeding-heart libertarianism" is becoming the new strain of mainstream libertarian thought. Pro-capitalists who support egalitarianism, class struggle, feminism, critical "theory" privilege checking and all other assorted modernist nonsense. Left-libertarians are barely libertarians to begin with.

It just as bad as your corner, where people think they are smarter than everyone else and society should create cultural enclaves based on the smart versus dumb races.

No, the 'bleeding heart libertarians' and left-libertarians are much worse.

You might not be familiar with Pale Brain's intense longing for a Reich of Order. Just read more of his posts to see how he really disdains freedom in favor of order.

Pro-capitalists who are only capitalists if it's bitcoin and the little guy making money. Pro-capitalists that are anti-corporation and pro-level playing field. Small government people who are afraid of being called racist, so will get out of their way to kiss up to liberal white guilt.

Left-libertarians are barely libertarians to begin with.

Just like communists are not anarchists, but who cares what labels they stick on themselves?

Hey everybody, NorthCarolinaTyranny is here to tell us how we aren't really for freedom. If it wasn't for the freedom police, we wouldn't survive. Thanks.

Indeed, he's obsessed with accusing me of being a liberal and saying I'm making libertarianism sound impractical or some other ridiculous imagination. He says I "pretend to be libertarian" because clearly he knows what a real one looks like.

My full name is Pale Rotten Brain, thank you.

I was talking about someone else. Please learn to follow a simple thread. Duh.

LOL; the anabaptist cultist (small a anabaptist) and the Jewish Democrat are tag teaming me. One is obsessed with following people around on this board so he can attempt to fulfill his stated purpose (see my signature line). The other one is obsessed with having an audience for his would-be, mystical Christian doctrine.

Oh look, it's the cultist who is fond of telling libertarians they are not really free until they subscribe to his extreme brand of anabaptist dogma.

Are you here because it's getting too tough in the religion forum?

...maybe gary is just saying these stoooooooooopid things to gain what he perceives as political advantage...

...certainly any honest, intelligent randers can understand this tactic...;)

I would take even the craziest Paleo over the most liberty-friendly leftist.

Eh, suit yourself. Anybody can call himself anything he wants on a forum, but I look at the person behind the label.

Pale Lib is big on ivory tower labels, but he basically seeks utility in its utmost form. He's already made it clear that he will readily use a government that he disdains. Seems to be for several purposes in his short time here. Combine that with his zeal for order, and you basically get the same result as the leftist. I'd even say it's worse in some ways. The leftist advocates government, so you at least know what you have to deal with right from the start.

Pale espouses principle, but digging deeper shows something else. Almost an unknown quantity, if you just view him superficially. Beware of people presenting themselves in pretty packages.
