Gary Johnson Money Bomb toady

Wait, you didn't know? RonPaulForums.com is the proper place to promote fundraisers for candidates running against Dr. Paul.

The name may say Ron Paul Forums, but this has developed more into a forum for discussing strategy for the liberty movement at large than an altar for Ron Paul worship. And Gary Johnson is a part of this movement.

When will stop smearing me and other people as worshipers or cultists?

"Cult" is a word I got from none other than Ron Paul, who was afraid of this movement turning into a cult of personality. If getting out support for other liberty candidates who are likely working in concert with Paul is somehow anathema on this board, than this board is not acting in the interest of the liberty movement, it is acting as an altar for Ron Paul worship.

I wish you would read "Gold, Peace, and Prosperity" by Ron Paul.

No, it's doesn't mean we are here for Ron Paul worship, it just means that we figure out there is an election going on, and in a election only one can be elected. All other candidates are competitors. It has nothing to do with being a cult like you're disgustingly claiming.

I find it very rude...because although I would consider Johnson part of the Liberty Movement, he is now a direct competitor of Ron's, and you're advertising (advocating) giving funds to that competitor.

And the word "cult" implies a certain level of blind faith in the following of a candidate. Obama has a "cult". Ron Paul supporters are the most informed supporters I've seen anywhere...that's not a cult...that's trust and loyalty to a man who has proven himself worthy of it.

Thread has been moved to Off Topic. Members are welcome to promote Gary's events, but we also want to recognize that this forum will be a predominant hub for grassroots activity for the prospective Ron Paul 2012 campaign. There is a delicate balance between extremes (deleting/banning Gary-related activity on one hand, and allowing it to stay in General Politics/Ron Paul Grassroots/other trafficked forums where it is likely to stir conflict on the other) - please don't read too much into the reasons or impute any "agenda."

He's only a competitor if Ron doesn't benefit by having him in the race. Fact of the matter is that Ron benefits by having Gary in the race (see my thread "The Ames Accord" in the Ames Straw Poll subcategory) and I wouldn't be surprised if both campaigns already have an arrangement.

Odd, I got the word "cult" from Ron Paul, describing what he feared this movement would turn into.

So you're stating that "what he feared" might happen, happened? I think not.

He said that if the pressure was for him to continue to lead the movement that it would become cult-like because it would be an emotional appeal to personality rather than a strategic analysis that encouraged growth within the movement.

I just did a google news search for gary johnson moneybomb and gary johnson money bomb

the results....

wait for it....

ZERO MATCHES!

BOMB moneybomb BOMB!

I notice he does not have a $ raised ticker.... and for good reason - don't expect him to announce the results either.

btw: One of his main supporters, Arron Bitterman, a former Ron Paul supporter and someone heavily involved with the RLC hijacked 19 Ron Paul Yahoo groups last week. Total scumbag!

Well he was wrong. Stop worshipping him. He has the right to be wrong once or twice.

And this would all be easier if Johnson had not said he wouldn't accept an offer of the VP slot from Rep. Paul. Honestly.

That said, people, we love Rand as a general rule but after the experience we had with Dubya I don't think we would find it so easy to run Rand right after Ron (assuming we get him elected now, as we must if we love this land). If Johnson has run a campaign before, this greatly increases the odds he'll win when he runs again, if history is any guide. Even if you don't want him to win this year, you might consider helping him get some exposure in the early stages of this race. He may well be helpful in the debates. We may need him in the future.

I would be for moving this back out of hot topics if we can be civil to each other.

Every Dollar Donated, Every Sign Painted, Every Yahoo or Other group that goes to Gary Johnson is less those for Ron Paul. I am fucking pissed off that this shit is going on. I will fight against this campaign harder then any other opposition.... why? Because this campaign of Gary Johnson takes from us, it does not take from the others.

so fuck you, and fuck Gary Johnson. I rather be fucking banned from this forum then stay if it starts allowing opposition to use OUR resources.

I'm not donating to Johnson until he drops out and decides to run for Senate. More than likely I won't donate to Ron Paul either, I feel my money may be better spent donating to local N.H. candidates. Although I wish Johnson the best of luck and hope he is successful in spreading Libertarian ideas.
