From The Ground in Maine: Romney's Plan Backfired

Romney is collapsing. We are going to win this thing!

I so bad want to believe it is true. I'm so edgy, can't allow myself to even think it it might happen, I'm an emotional wreck....
Please let it be so, praying the light of truth wins out over the darkness of evil...

It just seems so close with the info we're getting... it's hard not to be optimistic. I'm trying to keep my expectations as reasonable as possible, knowing that one big county could hand it over to Mitt.

Ughh... I think I need some Pepto and a Xanax.

Good Luck Maine. Bring this one in for Dr. Paul. and a return to sanity.

No, I didn't say Santorum.

Sad to say, I will miss the results until late tonight. I will be thinking about all though. I hope I have some idea of how it is going. by the time I have to leave this pm.

Nope, but 2 to 1 is good enough for me. Im just reporting what people on the ground are saying.

I know, I just want to keep things in perspective, we usually over estimate our support, I dont want to be dissa pointed like in Nevada, where we where getting positive tweets/reports but still came in 3rd...

Any updates for this visit happening right now?

Yup but we lost by 20 still... The places we are winning we win by 10 votes , 12 votes etc.

so? we know we're going to lose a few towns - we need to close the gap where we got beat bad in 2008, and win handily everywhere else. which seems to be exactly what we're doing. being concerned about losing by 20 in a district we massively closed the gap in from 2008 is silly... that's awesome news.

Update from the Lewiston super caucus, Auburn vote.

No hard numbers yet, still counting. The moderator says they normally only have 15ish people, high of 30/40, come and vote in Auburn this year he said over 100 came. Room packed with Ron Paul supporters.

Anyone have the numbers for Auburn in 08?

Romney 35
Paul 13
McCain 8

These small towns are going to make up for us losing by 10 or 20 votes in some of the bigger areas. We need to keep it close in the "cities" and we can win.

Didn't it say we lost South Portland by 1?

We lost pretty big in 08.

The richest suburbs would be the Romney stronghold. Cape Elizabeth perhaps? 67/30/6 in 2008, where Romney was the 67 and Paul was the 6. I would be surprised if we won in Cape Elizabeth.
