Freedom Watch cancelled, will air last episode next week

Personally, I never liked the show because it was on FOX news. I love that we had something there. But I felt that it was tolerated for some nefarious reason. Regardless, the most important part for me was the moniker FOX. I do not feel we should taint ourselves with anything from that network.

Should some magically investigative journalism suddenly resurface in the 4th estate, and the traitor legions that represent FOX management are suddenly repentant, then perhaps I'll take a second look. Until then I will join the rapidly growing group commensurate with their rapidly declining ratings that looks to hold FOX news and it's entire network of sponsors accountable for their treachery.

But I am sorry to the Judge, who was a supporter on FOX.

The struggling Fox Business Network canceled its entire prime-time programming lineup in one stroke on Thursday.

In place of the political talk shows that are currently shown from 8 to 11 p.m., Fox Business will replay its programming shown from 5 to 8 p.m., giving more exposure to three of its best-known anchors.

The changes called attention to the poor ratings performance of Fox Business, a four- and a half-year-old spinoff of the hugely popular Fox News Channel. Both channels are owned by News Corporation.

Last year the channel had an average of 54,000 total viewers in prime time, placing it in the bottom tier of all cable channels rated by Nielsen. The leading business news channel, CNBC, had an average of 228,000 viewers in prime time.

For the last year or so, Fox Business has been showing "Freedom Watch," with Andrew Napolitano at 8 p.m.; "Power & Money," a business and politics show with David Asman at 9; and "Follow the Money" at 10, with Eric Bolling, one of Fox's staunchest critics of President Obama.

This year to date, Mr. Dobbs has had the most-watched hour between 5 and 11 p.m., with 109,000 viewers on an average night. Mr. Cavuto had the No. 2 hour, with 70,000 viewers. No Fox Business show between 5 and 11 p.m. has had more than 25,000 viewers on average in the 25- to 54-year-old demographic that cable news advertisers hope to reach on a average night, according to Nielsen.

Currently one of the leading judicial analysts on television, Judge Napolitano will continue his role on both FOX Business and FOX News, providing key legal insights surrounding the growing intersection between Washington and Wall Street. In addition to co-hosting The Five on FNC,

Having a great show like Napolitano's under FOX's/NewsCorp black umbrella was always a contradiction.

I'm not fighting for ANYTHING under News Corps Corporate umbrella. Sorry.

Time to move on

Face the facts folks:

Freedom is not popular.

In all of mankind's history it was never all that popular.

The general population, in almost all cases, wants comfort and entertainment and have little desire to change established orders, even when those structures go clearly bad.

If we are going to have freedom in our lifetime, this fact is going to have to be recgonized and understood.

We will have to sieze our freedom, dragging along the rest of our fellow citizens, kicking and screaming if need be.

Sitting around waiting for a "Great Awakening" is a fool's gamble.

why does it have to be under News corp.? Beck has a network; there is youtube; there is P2P, both of which could be used for free distribution.

sell ads and post the torrent on pirate bay

Yeah Faux, if you want a more business oriented show, Peter Schiff is the man!!!!!

It depends on what the people learned when growing up. Some people are taught the value of liberty of others were not. Some cultures value liberty and others don't.

In every case it required a fearless minority, in the face of overwhelming odds, to take their freedom.

I'm not seeing the stomach for that.

"Not a fan of Judge Napolitano?"

Love Napolitano, Hate News Corporation, which of-course owns Fox Business News.

Cindy25 is correct, it's time to be independent & stop putting any $$ into Rupert Murdoch's pocket.
