Freedom Watch cancelled, will air last episode next week

FAWK !

It was by far my favorite news program.

You had to see it coming though. It had nothing to do with "ratings"

Yeah, I think it did. I believe fully in the media conspiracy against Ron Paul, as there's too much evidence against it, but I think this was a move based on ratings. There were already complaints placed earlier that Freedom Watch was more about politics than business, and was trying to be a Fox News show instead of what the shows are expected to be on Fox Business. They've been preparing to cancel this show for a while now.

We should pool our money and start a news station like Gore did with Current.

We can do it, let's go!

The Judge ought to start doing a Ustream/podcast show. Who needs FAUX when we've got the internet?

The good news here is that Eric Bolling is out of a job. For the moment, anyway.

More Ways To Protest the FOX Cancellation of 'Freedom Watch'
Posted by Lew Rockwell on February 10, 2012 10:23 AM
FOX plans to cancel the greatest program of its sort in the history of television, "Freedom Watch," starring the heroic Judge Andrew Napolitano. Here are more people to write in protest:

Kevin Magee (Fox Executive VP) made the decision to cancel the show. Write him at [email protected].
Write Fox CEO Roger Ailes's assistant, Gena Dellaquila, at [email protected].
And if you have not already done so, protest this outrageous act to the public/media relations department at:

Irena Briganti, Senior Vice President
Media Relations
Phone: 212-301-3608
Fax: 212-819-0816
E-Mail: [email protected]
We are being heard. I am told that the Fox higher-ups are "stunned" at the public response.

UPDATE from a friend:

With respect, I suggest that complaints directed to Fox's advertisers might also have great effect.

That is terrible news!!!

Not really. Liberty-minded folks are on the internet, we don't watch much TV. I don't even have a TV, and don't miss it at all. Even Fox Business is really annoying with the scrolling ticker with all the "shocking" news and statism being reinforced into the subconscious. It's embarrassing, stick with the internet where you have CHOICE.

Not the same thing. The family doesn't gather around the computer. :(
Maybe in the future, when television becomes more like the internet or something, we will have a voice and a choice.

That was the only show I watched on FBN. No need for that channel anymore.

And what kind of ratings do they expect on a channel that most people don't get?! I know of very few people who could watch it because it doesn't come with standard cable packages. Was FBN just a ploy to get people to upgrade their TV packages?

Fox News is reportedly stunned by the response to the announced cancellation ofFreedom Watch with Judge Andrew Napolitano.

We need to keep up the campaign.

We also need to write the following people:
Kevin Magee (Fox Executive VP) is the person who made the decision to cancel the show. Write him at [email protected].

Roger Ailes assistant, Gena Dellaquila at [email protected].

In addition, continue to contact the public/media relations dept at:

Irena Briganti, Senior Vice President

Fax: 212-819-0816

Why don't we just twitter @rupertmurdoch

He actually uses twitter

I'd do it early on a Saturday morning instead of likely when he's out for supper

Liberty minded folks are already liberty minded.

And what kind of ratings do they expect on a channel that most people don't get?!?

For real. That went through my mind as I read this announcement.

I'm guessing that Univision's (a Hispanic channel) ratings are really bad in . . . Alaska. They should cancel all their shows, lol.

From The Judge's facebook:

As many of you no doubt have heard, FreedomWatch will end next week. The good folks who own these studios and these cameras have other uses for them. We have had a marvelous ride together, and I know from the thousands of emails that have come our way, that you have been faithful to the message of freedom and to your Night Watchman as its temporary messenger. Your Night Watchman is not going anywhere. I will be all over the Fox News Channel, just as I was before FreedomWatch, and I might even have some surprises in store for you; not the least of which will be a grand finale sometime next week. The angels and the saints who close doors also open them

From The Judge's facebook:

the problem is there are no other uses of the studios, they are just switching to replays of their earlier programs.

if it was for a valid reason (ratings, a new program, contract dispute etc) then so be it. but no one at FBN can seriously expect replays will out preform a new program.
