Here is a template for MySpace:

On January 21, 2008...

Please join us this January 21st as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., by acting together to support Dr. Ron Paul, a new hero who fights for the same American principles of liberty and justice for all.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an American hero who dedicated his life to fighting for liberty and justice for all Americans. In 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, he saluted our spirits with the immortal words, "I have a dream..." Today the dream of liberty and justice for all is slipping through our fingers. Our government no longer speaks for the people. It is waging an immoral, unconstitutional war abroad, while stripping us of our basic civil liberties at home. Now another American hero has taken the stage to fight for our freedom. Dr. Ron Paul, like Dr. King, opposes the immoral wars that we have fought abroad, and he believes in the principles on which our beloved Republic was founded.

On January 21st, when we honor Dr. King and his message of peace and freedom, please support Dr. Ron Paul, who carries the same message, with a pledge of $10 or more. Do not let history record that those of us who had the most to lose, did the least to prevent its happening.

Please pledge to donate on January 21, 2008 at www.freeatlast2008.com

Let your voice be heard.

Please pass this along to your friends and family.

I thought that campaign central clearly does not want us to do any more money bombs. I agree...
A) If we don't meet a stated goal, it will look bad on the campaign & RP's viability as a candidate.
B) Tacking this on so closely to such a strong public figure might be taken incorrectly as trying to ride on the coat tails of someone else's image. It may work with founding father associations, but I think you are digging a grave with this association. There is no way to live up to ALL of the expectation people will make about such an association.

If we want to bring in the African American vote, we have to sell our ideas to living breathing African Americans & get them to speak out on Ron Paul's behalf. There is no other way to do it.

Cincy - this really doesn't have anything to do about trying to get the "African American" vote - it's about the message; Also, there is no real set goal on this, so any amount will be a victory. I'm hoping for $2 - 3 million.

This will allow for new "converts" to enjoy the excitement of a big money day as well.

And hillertexas, check your PMs - I gave you contact info for Brian - the guy who spearheaded that November 5th and the December 16th MySpace messaging blitzes; As this takes alot of babysitting to coordinate, he will NOT be able to do it for this event, work is just to involved for him at the moment.

I am sorry, but the scandal has not gone away, and the NAACP and Ron Pauls statement is not sufficient... it needs to be addressed, and saying that the scandal is gone isn't going to make it go away. We know and believe in Ron Paul so the scandal seems silly to us, but to the average voters needs more.

Well its pretty fucking ironic that supporters would choose this day. It makes sense to me, and if any of the fruit flies that call themselves journalists would do some research on what Ron Paul has written, they would know he didnt write the stuff himself.

I stand by Ron Paul. I do not believe he has racist tendencies because I researched enough about his character to (gasp) judge him.

I hope this MB raises a ton of money. Maybe the following day he could have a few blacks that have known him for 20+ years come to bat for him at the press release.

If the average voter needs more, they need to get online and find it. The TV sure as hell isnt going to say anything fair about him. Thomas Jefferson said the only honest people in newspapers were the advertisers.

I agree.

I am currently capturing all 114,951 MySpace friend ID's of Ron Paul. I will then parse the file into 2000 ID "chunks" to be distributed as a text file to be used with the FriendBlaster program. Capturing the IDs will take a few hours.

Brian (who spearheaded the MySpace blitzes for the 5th and the 16th) will be sending an email out shortly, to all who participated before, basically introducing me as the main point of contact to get the ID's from for this event.

I am suprised that this event was not even mentioned at our Meetup last night with over 100+ in attendance.

It didn't even cross my mind until I was on the drive home, but I couldn't believe this wasn't even brought up.

None of the meetups in my state have organized anything for the January 21st event.

No money bomb, no march, no nadda.....

I can help in any way however I will need specific instructions.
Kacela, you rock.

This idea was made before the racist newsletters were found by the MSM. We had the Franklin one and this one, but once people falsely accused him, this one became bigger. Well it was actually when Ron Paul acknowledged this day, which he didn't do for any other money bomb.

Hmm..dunno..but call some people and get them to watch a couple of the videos on the freeatlast2008 site. They are pretty inspiring.

For promoting on MySpace, if you have a few hours, and you have a Windows-based PC (I'm still looking for a similar program for Macs), I've parsed up the firends of Dr. Paul from MySpace and I have a program that will just about do everything for you - you just need to sit there and decipher a CAPTCHA image after every message sent. Not too exciting, but it works well.

We could use some help. If your interested in lending a hand, I could send you the program and a bunch of IDs - the only caveat is that you need to have a bunch of MySpace ID's to use with it... MySpace seems to frown on sending more than 50 messages a day from any one account. hillertexas may have some MySpace accounts that were created and verified - before we found out that hillertexas had a Mac

So if you have a Windows PC, Multiple MySpace accounts, and some time, PM me your email address, and I'll send instructions along with 50 IDs to start with.

Is this a firm date???

Im asking, because I have not seen alot of discussion on this one? I know Mr. Lyman was trying to put one together for Febuary, or is this going to be seperate from his? I will contribute to both, was trying to figure out what was going on.

This money bomb is definitely the biggest one planned at the moment. It started getting bigger when RP mentioned it himself a few days ago. Do your best to promote it! =)
