Fox News Poll

Now, you wonder why they asked the question "Will Herman Cain pass Ron Paul for 3rd Place" on Fox and Friends. They knew the answer.

Yep, Ron always does poorly in FOX news polls. Either they are polling a specific demographic that they have on file and so it is not a random sample...or they are deliberately messing with the results etc...either way, I wouldn't pay too much attention to the poll...I saw they report the results on FOXs and calling Cain the new top-tier candidate and excluding poll...saying that they are statistically dead even....what a joke. Cain wins one straw poll and now he is top-tier..no way!

Fox has been pushing Cain from the very beginning.

Phase 1: Frank Luntz' focus group directly after the 1st debate, where everyone conveniently thought Cain won the debate. This pushed him from a nobody to around 5% overnight.

Phase 2: Now. Everyone on that network since the last debate have been pushing him hardcore. Now one of their polls show him in 3rd place, and he's instantly in the top tier.

What about when Ron was polling third?

Still, Michele Bachmann must feel like shit right now.

I am about ready to give up on this race. The American people are really stupid. Even if these polls are bogus, they keep putting them out as if they were fine, and that affects public perception. We can't win with the media against us. I really hate my country right now. I want to burn a flag.

If these polls are true, then why did 50%+ of Ron Paul's support melt away over the last couple weeks?

The same reason they played last year's CPAC results this year with all the booing for Ron Paul. Maybe the same reason they said about AIMES "Bachmann wins Aimes Pawlenty third" with no mention of who came in second by a mere 152 votes. So which of us really trusts Fox results?

I think we're paying too much attention to polls like these... Just a waste of time. Clear differences between FOX polls and CNN/ORP and USATODAY/Gallup polls have been demonstrated before. If they all polled Ron at 6%, I would worry. But they don't.

Can you really trust results from an organization that calls "Romney, Perry, and Cain" the new top tier? Really?

I trust the average of all the polls, which have Ron going down dramatically. Something has to change in the campaign to turn things around.

Ron Paul peaks higher than most everyone else after each of the last three debates. He is winning the debates but not necessarily the post-debate narrative and spin. The BS about OBL is just that: BS. Look at the over-exposed coverage of the health care comment which was spun MASSIVLEY against Paul. The war mongers want us to think that Ron Paul is weak on defense issues when it is his greatest strength. Simple math will expose the truth. Our tax base is limited, our ability to raise revenues is crippled (we are on the wrong side of the Laffer curve), and simple math will show we have to choose between funding the retirements we have already promised or continuing to police the world. Guns or butter. When borrowing is off the table, only one candidate is revealed as being right for America.

Ron has to run as Rand. But that won't happen. Ron is ron. Fortunately, the republican field is atrocious and in spite of his "electability" flaws, we've got a shot.

The only way we can combat the media is with money, and lots of it. We need to finish Q3 strong, and have an absolutely amazing Q4.

The difference between us raising a lot of money late in the game in 2007 and if we raise it late this time around is huge. Last time, it was way too late to put the money to good use because we didn't have any sort of foundation. This time, we have the foundation, an experienced campaign, and amazing ads. If we raise a boat load this time around, it will go a lot further.

We need to worry way more about Iowa and New Hampshire than these national polls.

Saw this comment -
"These polls are a joke. 925 voters? Yeah that is such an accurate survey to declare front runners. How about the internet polls you guys have after the debates were tens of thousands of people vote and Ron Paul gets 40%+ in these? Morons."

My thoughts exactly

cain is the flavor of the month. he'll screw it up by contradicting himself again or with another gaffe.

I do, however, notice that on my local radio Ron Paul's ideas are only talked about on coast-to-coast, but during the day ... hardly a peep.

Methinks we have to start calling in on Friday Open Lines and give a little plug to the millions that listen. ;)

The people in this thread comparing internet polls to scientific polls (900+ is actually a big sample compared to most around 500) are making my head hurt

I just discount Fox altogether, but the media pushing Cain and pushing Ron down, as they have been doing, is powerful. A ton of media lately just said Ron said people should be left to die, literally. they didn't say he said 'no they shouldn't be left' as he did say, they simply reported inaccurate facts. I saw a ton of those stories, that didn't take comments and there was nothing one could do. It is believed. So now they have created a meme and we have to over come it again as Ron has multiple times before, but it keeps running out the clock and now they are talking about moving up primaries. It is a problem. But I'm not going to get caught up in the polls, per se. Let's get Ron the money he needs to run ads.

And as for running like Rand, Rand had the same problem until he got the money needed to run ads, but luckily he was in a two person race where distraction wasn't so effective. Also, in a one state race, you could make sure a critical mass saw your ads, here we can't without getting Ron a ton more money. So I'm going to focus on getting the word out about the end of quarter push, now.

For sure... a little at a time. :)

I was amazed last night on coast-to-coast. They were discussing the federal reserve act of 1913 and all the shenanigans that the powers-that-be play... the truth is going mainstream. I'm too impatient because I expect truth telling from people with the microphone. Maybe someday ... maybe someday soon it will be told during the daylight hours.
